I saw a few at a flea market once. War memorabilia is a popular hobby. What's that doing in America?
Looks in good condition. Could be worth a bit to a collector
Are you sure it is authentic? It does look like is in suspiciously good condition. Have you had it authenticated?I found this authentic German Nazi Armband in the attic where I work. Really interesting, but also a little creepy too.

What's the museum's focus? No, but the museum I am at is pretty sure it's authentic. Appears to be a war trophy.
Edit: especially since the tag is in German. You can't legally get Nazi memorabilia in Germany I think.

Sounds like it could be useful in an exhibit. It's a "pioneer Museum", but it focuses also on local families that have lived where for generations, and some of that has been donations of military gear. We have a small military display, mostly from WW1 and 2.

How much do you pay to work at a museum?
It costs me $10+K/year.
Oh, how do I support thee, let me count the ways....I don't pay anything or get paid. As it stands it's just an internship right now,.so I can learn the ins and outs of museum work...
Why do you pay?

Cash donations, material donations, artifact donations,
engineering drawing for a building, use of space in a
building, miscellaneous.
