What's that doing in America?
America f'in LOVED the Nazis until it came time to go kill them. Then America saw them as stinking pieces of crap.
Here's a picture of a Nazi rally in New York, at the Madison Square Garden.

It has value as a collectors item.

Not a lot of value in terms of $ though. I'm a bit suspicious of the stamping on the tag. And the tag generally.
The band itself looks pretty legit to me.

@The Hammer
One test is to stick it under a blacklight, to see if the fabric is sufficient old. That might at least help date it to some degree.

I know a lot of "upper class" and industry were into the Nazis and backed them with equipment and finance.

Until Hitler declared war on the US toght after pearl harbor.

I am surprised at the pic though, i didn't think it was that prevalent.

Makes me think of a trump supporters rally ;-)

Doesn't surprise me. After all the Nazis got a load of ideas from the American eugenics movement which only lost favor after the holocaust was over.

That was the German American Bunds biggest rally. 20000 at Madison Square Garden.
To be fair, there was also a large anti-nazi protest organised.

And by late 1939 the organisation was under investigation for un-American activities. So whilst there was a meaningful Nazi presence in pre-war America, it would be wrong to overstate their impact.

Membership of the German American Bunds peaked at about 25000. That's less than Mosley's British Union of Fascists.

They had support, but they had support everywhere. Including England (British Union of Fascists). There was particular attraction where anti-communist sentiment was strong, and where there was a string military brotherhood (including WW1 veterans).

Yeah, I think they did.

It's severely frowned upon these days. Technically illegal.

I would think so, especially when it comes to national treasures or works of art (such as the kind the Nazis plundered). But I can see how it happens when it comes trinkets and things which were relatively common. Someone might think "Who's going to miss that?"

I tend to think of Trump rallies as worse because Hitler not only actually had some good ideas that are actually great (like Germany's animal cruelty laws), Hitler could speak in complete and coherent sentences without rambling and jumping way off topic. Hitler was a force amd had credintials the Nazis rallied behind. Trump doesn't even have the propaganda department, he didn't do much at all for America, and he is just as fake as his world of TV.
