well I know how it is to not be able to afford to take an animal to the vet... hell I can't even take myself to the doctor cause I don't have insurance... so when I was in this situation with my dog and he was very sick the only thing I could think of to do is sit him in the front yard and I called animal control and told them he wondered up in my yard and they came and picked him up! it's free and if they can't help him they will put him down properly. so it gave me piece of mind.

and if they could help him how do you get it back?

well, I don't know. I just knew he was going to die if he stayed at my house cause I couldn't do anything for him so I guess you could just check the humane society and see if he is there.

I agree with jamaesi on this one, a cat rescue centre may be the best thing you can do. Poor kitty. :(

Depends Upon My Mood..
And as far as depression? This little kitty is probably not "bi-polar".(roll eyes)..the little baby is probably depressed from being in discomfort and as mentioned in OP isnt eating enough which can cause them to falter and be weak.

I agree with soem of the others..If you cant afford to treat the animal its better to turn him over to the local shelter and let them either try and save teh kitty or put him down humanely.

I have cared for disabled animals as well..In fact I had to have one of my Rotties front legs amputated when she was 5.I was in the room with her 5 years later when she was euthenized..She did not suffer. The doctor gave her a shot and she died witin 3 seconds.

Same as my Rottie Blue that we just had put down in April. We were fortunate to have enough money to try and see if he could be saved..They had him in surgery and the doctor found he was riddled with cancer all over his body..his instructions were to put him down if he knew there was no way to help him ..and so he did.

I have spent thousands and thousands of dollors on medical care for many animals..Sometimes the right thing the really only humane thing to do his end their suferring through death.

Ok, this is NOT a debate thread guys. If you want to debate humane V inhumae treatment of animals, start your own thread!

Wolf started this thread to find help for a poor cat, not to listen to people argue over how the cat should be killed. Really now. If you can't help, then get out of this thread.

I am sorry Shadow Wolf if I upset the thread.

If you can`t afford the medical attention it needs (it can be very expensive) and you can`t get any help from a shelter or vet then the best course in my opinion is to wait and see how it`s little life begins to unfold before judging whether or not it can live well with the disability or pain.

Just make it as comfortable as possible and give it a lot of attention.

You may have to put it down sadly.

That`s a tough situation to be in, I wish you luck with your kitten.
