Need your prayers

My prayer life seems to be "dry" lately and it seems that praying is no longer a joyful experience to me like the way I see it before. Every time I pray, there seems to be something in me which seems to "block" (sin maybe?) what I consider to feel as the "grace of God". So there, I hope you guys can include me in your prayers.

Have you prayed asking as Jesus instructed at Luke 11v13 B ?

"If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

I do ask God for the Holy Spirit. But as I said, there seems to be something in me which makes me feel this way.

When I pray/meditate, I simply forward love and peace to the Creator. In doing that, I realize I have what I need.

God bless you according to your prayer!

We should always talk to God. No need to appoint times, do it as it comes to mind. It may be less joyful now, but that will pass if you let it. Keep the prayer short if you need to.

Uhm, yes. Why?

I've been using some breathing techniques that have helped my prayers. My friend recommended taking deep breaths and slowly exhaling until you can exhale no more. While doing this, imagine a stream of water that starts at your tail bone and goes up your spine to the back of your head and out of your head about and inch or two above and between your eyes. While doing this, focus on your prayer. Do this for about a half hour at first and see what happens. It's great and has helped me immensely.

Just for the sake of sharing, this is what I usually do when I pray. I usually do "mental prayer" (I rarely do verbalization when praying), which usually starts by either thanking God or calling upon the Holy Spirit, then everything goes; asking special intentions to God and some stuff. It's like having conversations with God in my mind. Also, if I have a lot of time, I read the scriptures too during a prayer and then usually, after I pray, I can feel something "joyful". I feel "inspired". I cannot feel that feeling after praying lately though, which makes me feel like there's something "missing".
