Needing to Find a Religion

Hello All,

I'm new here. I'm looking for a religion that fits me. I was raised as a Catholic but have decided that's not the religion for me. I'm very interested in Pagan religions as I believe in magic and the supernatural. I miss the sense of community that religion brings. I appreciate nature and rituals and would be open to any suggestions that anyone has.

You should take your time and learn a bit about each religion including it's history. You might find that no religion suits you best. Welcome to RF and good luck!

My suggestion: don't look for a religion that fits you, look at all philosophies and the one that fits you will be shown.

Well I guess the best way to go about this is to eliminate the religions I'm definitely not interested in. So I'd like to learn a brief overview of many religions and go from there.

I would suggest the Pagan/Wiccian/magic/LHP sub forums right here
on this site. (since you said these things interest you)
If roman Catholicism has left you with many taboos,
maybe wait on the LHP forums. :areyoucra lol
(I also was Roman Catholic for a time. Raised that way as well)

Things are very rarely what "others" say they are anyway.

Yes, it's 2:45 and I can't sleep for the life of me! I'm definitely a UofL fan, though I'll cheer for UofK (SOMETIMES) if they're playing a different team.

Well the forum does have detailed threads for most religions out there, so check them out, ask a few questions, and then when you know where you want to start, as in that thread, and people of that particular religion will help you get started learning about the religion.

Well for starters, I don't believe in the bible. I also find them on the whole to be a cold and negative group of people. My views differ greatly in terms of homosexuality, sex, and divorce.
