I miss a forum I used to have a hand in taking care of, a lot of the members pretty much seemed to spend 2-3 hours a day searching out new music, I know it sounds crazy that they were so dedicated about it. But I learned from them about Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Unearth, Powerman 5000, etc. Then at night I had to keep a watchful eye to remove posts of a certain internet infamous sensation at the time which starts with the words "2 girls". People would get on at night my time for some reason, a good 3 days a week, and sit there and talk about it. Then they'd eventually post links.

Bullet for my Valentine another good band!

I even liked a few emo bands. Well one My Chemical Romance was pretty good!

It was Staind,
I haven't seen Powerman, but Staind I truly and deeply regret I have only seen once. It's Staind I like, but Aaron Lewis I love. His voice is a gift from the gods. Anything you can sing, he can sing it just as good if not better. The time I saw them, they covered This Love, and Lewis hit it perfect, screams and all just like Anselmo did in Pantera. My brother once played a live recording of Sober, and I thought it was bootleg Tool at first, but it was not. It was Aaron Lewis. Pink Floyd, he's done it. Country, done it. And even his own stuff with Staind showcases an amazing voice that is very capable and not at all limited to their mopy songs the radio played. I absolutely have to see them again.
But, the best concert I've been to hands down was Alice Cooper. No doubts, no questions, he puts on a fine and excellent show from an artistic level, and seeing it all yourself and watching it is something words can't capture. The first time I saw him, he had no opener and it was about a 3 hour spectacle for the eyes and ears. Snakes, grave yards, great music, awesome musicians getting into it, giant Frankenstien monsters, the guitarist shredding and wailing, Alice getting his head lopped off, the crowd going wild, homage to the classics marked with tombstones and song, the guitarist being absolutely awesome (I forget her name but she really is very good), oh! It's a great time!

Nope. When I want that, instead that's when I turn it to Seal, Boys 2 Men, and Madonna (some of her songs, anyways, I can't stand Material Girl, but I LOVE Just Like a Prayer). Rod Stewart or Barry Manillow, but not emo.

Hehe nothing wrong with that.

>I like Sade< don't tell anyone though

Yeah Staind is definitely in my top 5 best bands ever, #3 for me I'd say. Aaron could make anything sound good!

I loved Beavis and Butthead! Haha

Yes you can call me those names all day and I won't take it as derogatory!
If you haven't watched that show in awhile, you should try and scour video sites looking for it. It's amazing how much of the early-to-mid 90s that show captured, and if you weren't there for it you probably won't recognize it as the then current event reference.

Hehe, I guess I won't. But she does have a very pretty voice. And she pretty much single-highhandedly perfectly demonstrates why "America" is a crap judge of vocal talent. She does not get the recognition she deserves, but yet talentless talent show jackasses get tons of spotlight time.

I'm glad you guys don't list your choice in music as "Nickelback is love, Nickelback is life".
They have a few songs I like (that Rockstar one is not one), every once in awhile their bassist will thump out something that groves, but they could vanish today and I'd care not. They had Silver Side Up, and have reinvented softness with each new album. Especially when they were newer, I just had too much anger for it. Same with 3 Doors Down. Not bad, but not enough anger or anything I really like to listen to them. I'd definitely much rather prefer Nine Inch Nails and Stabbing Westward.

I like energy and speed in my music, like Zebrahead.

Believe it or not they actually do an incredible live show!
I really wish they could have put out something else that lived up to World's Collide. That song is great. IMO, the rest of his catalogue is good and mediocre, sometimes just bad. Never seen him live, but I've always suspected his shows are better than the albums.

I leave again and this topic blows up in a shorter amount time than when I slept. I just can't keep up. *sigh*

On the topic of video games... @Enoch07 AVGN is love. I've watched all his vids.

As far as music, I was a big time Mansonite as a teen and into my early 20's. I went to his Antichrist Superstar concert in '97. Still haven't been to any live performance that beats his. You know you're in for a treat when Christians set up around the building handing out pamphlets as you're standing in line.

They still put out stuff good band just not mainstream enough I guess. My favorite PM5000 song is actually a hidden song on the first album and it's totally different than anything else they did on it.

Little do they know Manson (the real man, not the persona). Is actually quite tame. LoL

You must not have read his autobiography...

Smoking bones, anyone? (Edit: He went grave robbing, ground human bones to dust, rolled and smoked them.)
