Never have you ever had a crush on Padme Amidala when she was in Attack of the Clones?

*drinks*

Never have you ever pretended to be friends with someone you had a crush on, even though you know they didn't like you that way, but because they are so special to you that you keep them around however you can.

*double shot*

Good news is I learned my lesson and I don't do that anymore.

Couple of years later we got an NES for Christmas, not 1 single argument ever occurred over a video game for the rest of our childhood. Because we knew what would happen.
At times I think you're a wee more than a bit older than me, but that makes it sound like you aren't much older than me at all, lol. I still remember how awesome Super Mario Brothers 3 was when it first came out. Totally new heights of gaming released, but frustratingly no save or password feature, lol.

Define aweful....I've said plenty of things that some love and others hate.

There exist some really sad posts on other sites. Sometimes I point out along with others when they're just plain sad, one guy one time said "You guys bait too easily" after he posted about incest. I said, "Are you a master baiter?"

Despite some people honoring what I do, I don't. I just think that if a person cries wolf enough times, I might as well buy a wolf suit, put it on, and take on that role.

I missed a lot during my favorite activity that is sleeping.

Damn, you guys are a mix of poor, sad, alcoholic, angry deviants.

Looks like I'm in good company.

Born in 78' aged like a fine wine, nah more like cheese.

3 was ok better than 2. Even though 2 wasn't even originally a Mario game. It was called Doki Doki Panic. They replaced the original characters with Mario and the crew, changed some audio, and a few other little things.

I didn't even know what I was doing then partly because home video gaming was still relatively new, and because I was a kid. Wasn't until much later when i bought an SNES did i start becoming a hardcore gamer. PilotWings, Act Raiser, F-Zero, Final Fantasy 4 err I mean 2 here in the U.S. So much so i bought an SNES classic last year which comes with like 20ish snes games on it. Been revisiting Final Fantasy 6 (3 here in the U.S.) on my days off. Reigniting the passion all over!

Oh. You're only eight years older than me, lol. The way you say things like being old and when you was younger I've always thought you were at least in your 50's, around my dad's age, lol. I never realized Thundercats, He-Man, MTV and Bart Mania was likely also some where in your childhood. You can't be old because we were both in our 30s at the same time for a while, lmfao. Grunge isn't old people music, young young people (unlike youngish people) just don't know good music.:D

You have no idea.

An example.

The Joker is my hero, Batman is the villain. :D

2 I have never liked. It was a weird Mario game, added all kinds of weird stuff, and then came 3 which felt more like 1 but with way more tons to do. So I've really only dabbled in 2. Never beat it either I don't think.

Well i do have an old soul. Hell I was already jaded and done with this life before i ever started elementary school. So needless to say a 6 year old that calmly speaks about how you should mourn for the newborn and rejoice for the recently departed made me an oddball from the start. Even back then I would say stuff and 60 year olds jaws would drop because I blew their mind with some philosophical p00p.

Same I didn't like 2 at all. 3 was much better then I didn't play Mario again until Super Mario World on the SnES.

I like the taste of cheese better than wine.

I always wondered since I was a kid why Mario 2 was always different from the rest. Didn't find out until I started YouTubin'.

My first console was an NES, so I was an inexperienced gamer then, and still suck now. NES games used to **** me off because they were harder for me than any of the other console games. I had to sell all mine when I moved abroad. I had an NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Game Gear, Saturn, PS1. Broke my heart to part with them. Now I all I have is a DS Light and what you have, the SNES with 20 preloaded games. Super Mario World 2, Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country gets the most play.

Anyway, video games was my life as a kid. If it wasn't for video games such as Mortal Kombat, (blood code enabled, of course) there'd be a lot more murdered GI Joes and Barbies buried in the backyard than usual.

Super Mario was fun, but I still remember A Link to the Past making me fall deeply in love with the Zelda games.

Yup. I'm not too fond of always being told I act very mature for my age. It doesn't offend me, as I know it's a well intentioned compliment, but I know I'm that way because my childhood wasn't happy or pleasant, I saw things in people most kids don't, have Asperger lenses to see it all through, and for one reason or another I never really got to be young. I was rather quite self-destructive instead. I'm not psychotic, but otherwise I tend to relate very strongly to the main character in the Pink Floyd movie the Wall, because everything in my life until I was at the end of my 20s was just another brick in the emotional wall I built between myself and the world. I've torn a lot of it down though, except when my mood gets down I still get into some pretty dark places. But it has been a year since I've broken any laws more serious than speeding and jaywalking, and I really don't even consider those real crimes, but absolutely nothing more than a ticketable offense for speeding (even in California, including LA, I have never had a cop even seem to notice when I jaywalk).
You gonna go see the new Joker movie btw? Looks dark and intriguing, I'm excited for a Joker stand alone film.
I didn't know there was one. I might wait though, and hear how it goes, because the Joker is a character than can be very easy to screw up and do wrong.

It's still harder than any other console. Metroid and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles still feast on the tears and frustrations of the unaware and unsuspecting to this day. Not at the rate they used to, but every once in awhile something will happen to cause a younger gamer to play them. And there is much weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth. :D

I thought he was in his 50's, too. Those toons were part of my childhood as well. (Don't forget She-Ra.)

I was also a "grunger" as a teen. I never considered myself old until I heard them play Nirvana on the classic rock station. Depression ensued.

Looks interesting, but I'm bummed my favorite Joker, Mark Hamill, is too old and out of shape to play a live action Joker.

I never played Metroid, but I'll take your word for it because you know how hard TMNT was. I never beat most games on the NES, that game included.
