Very fascinating, I am still hoping for intelligent life to be found elsewhere. I desire this primarily because of the religious attitude towards it. The appearance of life beyond earth will make the importance of intelligent life less important and ruin common fundamentalist attitudes within the Abrahamic religious community.
Hopefully we can evolve space travel enough to the degree we can drop the archaic fuel boosters from rockets and travel in a more efficient manner to truly explore the cosmos.

Unfortunately they range from 1.4 to over twice Earth's diameter, which -- depending on their composition -- also means they'll be more massive. Earth-like life can't tolerate much more than a g, so even if they host native life we probably couldn't do much ourselves there -- maybe really, really short people with excellent hearts... maybe.
