New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (left, with Rep. Grace Meng) is promoting socialist-leaning policies that make centrist Democrats worry; Ocasio-Cortez, who is 29 years old, doesn't care

Question... Why on earth would anyone ever elect a 29 year old to hold any kind of political influence?

That just seems like the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Because the GOP and Fox and the right wing are running scared of her and scraping the barrel for half stories to try to discredit her. Just like this one.

But she said: "New party, who dis?"... That's teeny-bopper talk. She should have never been elected. She's too immature.

...Also, 29 year olds are notoriously self centered, so I'm not surprised that she insults Joe Lieberman, and doesn't care what a large portion of Democrats think.

But maybe you're right, @Altfish. As far as insulting Lieberman, by all rights she was only defending herself. So you may have a point there.

...Sometimes the media can be pretty tricky. Still though, I just don't agree with electing people in their twenties -they just don't have the life experience, and even the smartest 29 year olds in the world lack the wisdom that someone in their 50's should posess.

Her point appears to be that Lieberman is out of touch with the members of the party.

I'd read about this, & considered posting it, but it just didn't seem all that disrespectful.
Sure, sure, some of these young whippersnappers are a bit big for their britches, but
I'll cut her some slack on this. With experience, she could become useful.

Conservatives talking about immature and teeny-bopper talk? That's laughable. You elected the orange stain who tweets like a teenage girl and gets triggered over the littlest things.

Only in your mind. Progressives are gaining strength in the democratic party, that's a good thing. Younger, intelligent, etc. That's what the democratic party voted for and will continue voting for into the future.
You want to keep America falling behind the world in all categories. That's dangerous and 'conservative.'

You know this is racist, don't you?
Perhaps not.
If someone had called Obama a "brown stain", the screams of "Racism!" would deafen.
I'm here to help you understand & improve yourself.

To be fair, calling Obama a 'brown stain' wouldn't be considered racist by conservatives. They don't know what constitutes racist language these days. Isolation contributes to the ignorance.

I was speaking of liberals, who generally have a double standard
for racism, ie, it's OK when they practice it, but not when others do.
Your earlier racist post is a good example.
You're OK with anti-white racism, & you won't come under
criticism by your fellow for posting insults based upon skin color.

Here's a tip, it's impossible to make racist statements towards your own race.
Democrats don't make racist statements towards white people. But it's well known that republicans make racist statements (unknowingly) towards other races.

Looking at the first 2 primary definitions on dictionary.com....
  1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human racial groups determine cultural or individualachievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to dominate others or that aparticular racial group is inferior to the others.
  2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
You're jutifying racism based upon a carefully chosen definition from among many.
Btw, we don't know that you're actually white.
You could be posing as one in order to excuse racist posts.
The better practice is to eschew all racism.

Correct. I'm pointing out the definition of racism. It's impossible to be racist towards your own race. Care to try again?

Now, if you said 'prejudiced' you'd be correct
