New York Times endorses Harris as ‘the only choice’ for president

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Why, do you think Trump will retaliate against the free press if he is elected?
Nope but the Times will take a massive hit to their reputation for endorsing Harris as president who has to this day offered not a single thing at the table aside from meaningless word salads and repeated memorized lines over and over without adequately answering and explaining any questions in detail people have asked her.

Yeah, poor New York Times.

I bet they wish they had your reputation for clear concise political analysis.

Not quite. Standing alongside Zelensky, she seem to promise a blank check for that rathole known as Ukraine. Oh, and abortion with no restrictions.

In the meantime, the rest of the nation will just focus on the top priorities like the Economy and the Border. Good thing her priorities are not revelant enough to matter except of course to her.

Several of us, on numerous occasions, have articulated a great deal of Harris's platform. And then there are those who refuse to even look at them, because they fear the "temptation of the devil." It's a great way to remain ignorant.

I guess @Twilight Hue will get the message mid-next week, and won't like it. In 80 years, if the markets have been up for the 6 months leading up to the election, the party in power wins. That goes to Democrats. A new poll by YouGov, of nearly 49,000 likely voters (that's a HUGE poll), gives Harris 4 points: 51 to 47. That goes to Harris. Nobody who can't get above 47% in polls wins. That goes to Harris.

I'm guessing @Twilight Hue will be moving on, after it's over and done with, to trying to prove the Democrats called on the Invisible Pink Unicorn to stuff ballot boxes, or some other such nonsense. Because admitting loss is going to be as hard for him as it will be for Trump.

You think that 'the rest of the nation' does not care about flushing billions of $ down the toilet in Ukraine? Or being the steward of South Korea? The empire needs to end. The MAGA world seems to care about those things quite a bit. This is one of the only points of agreement between me and the MAGA folks.

When do you think it would be better to "flush those billions down the drain?" If the west fails to defend Ukraine, Russia won't stop there, and the next ones will be NATO countries, and the US is then treaty-bound to intervene. And that will be even more money, and not only that, American troops -- and lives!

Oh, or perhaps you prefer Trump's solution -- pull out of NATO. And when the totalitarian powers eventually overtake Europe and then Asia, and America has no hope for trade of any kind except to submit to their dictates -- do you think that will be better?

Nonsense. Be serious, brother. Do you really think Putin - who can barely hold onto the eastern 1/3 of Ukraine - is somehow going to march into the rest of Europe? He is surrounded by members of NATO. He knows war againt NATO would be suicide. Ukraine is a corrupt former Soviet state, not in NATO. I find it insane that we are using that country as a geopolitical pawn.

And I find you naive. Remember, Putin has a pretty good friend in Victor Orban of Hungary (a friendship shared with Trump). Hungary is part of Nato. Get them together with Belarus, and assuming Ukraine is already defeated, I see little difficulty in the attempt to reassemble the eastern part of the old USSR.

Putin's win in Ukraine will also provide him with enormous wealth from the breadbasket of Europe, which will be very helpful in paying for troops and materiel.

You need to look just a little past the end of your nose, and your navel.

False. Harris has never advocated for abortions with no restrictions whatsoever.

I just checked YouGov. I see a two point lead for Harris in a national poll, which is pretty meaningless. Do you have a link to what you were seeing please? Thanks!

Are you completely unfamiliar with U.S. foreign policy over the last 75 years?

Of course the U.S. is doing what it is doing for the good of the U.S. And Europe is doing what is in the best interest of Europe. But I also think it happens to be in the best interest of Ukraine as well.

Russia is the only one in this equation that has been acting insane,
