I ask the same as the only one to comment on the story:

Where is the Muslim world on this?
Why are there not thousands of armed Muslims hunting down and killing this Boko Haram group of bloodthirsty psychopaths disgracing Islam through murder and violence?

Possibly your post was not seen. What forum did you post it in. It is possible that no one had anything to say about this tragic event.

Hi, ESmith

I have pretty much thrown up my hands lately, trying to find serious posts in "Current Events" about current events that matter -- such as the Boko Haram massacres you mention.

I am truly sad to hear about Christians and Jews being persecuted around the world for their belief in God, and for the innocent lives that are lost. I wish there were a forum, somewhere on the Internet, where people can talk about these things civilly and respectfully. So far, I have not found any. At least here, I have seen your post.

Smith, I see that you are a Noachide. From what I have seen of your ilk (very little), I would imagine that we could have some decent, interesting discussions about religion AND current events. If you have found a place on RF where you think this is possible, please let me know. If you have found another place on the Web where we can do this, please let me know this also. If you "private message" me, perhaps we can exchange emails and explore this problem.

We once sponsored a Christian Nigerian student, an Ibo from Enugu. His father was killed during the civil war in the 1960s, by forces loyal to President Gowan. Ironically, Gowan was a Methodist, backed by the Americans, Europeans and Russians -- all supposedly Christian nations -- but he was engaged in crushing the largely Catholic Christian Ibos of Enugu. I imagine oil was at the root of that conflict, as is this "Boko Haram" thing today.

The student we sponsored had found refuge in Cameroun, where he got his schooling. Now that I look back on it, his father must have been killed just 5-8 years before we knew him. He stayed on in the US, starting his own import-export business. He kept in touch with us for years, usually at Christmas time. The last I heard from him, he was waiting for his parents to arrange a suitable bride for him.

There is a lot of killing in Africa. Some of it seems to be for no reason whatever, other than to make leaders on both sides rich through smuggling diamonds, ivory, etc. The Muslims have been especially wicked, though, targeting Christians for slaughter because they trust in the God of the Bible.

Thank you for posting, and for showing your concern for those students. God will avenge their deaths. He knows every sparrow that falls to the earth; and He keeps those who know Him in the treasure house of his heart. The world is not worthy of people like those innocents.

Shalom shalom.

Unfortunately, there is much wickedness on both sides of the conflict. In the Central African Republic, Christian militias are persecuting Muslims. In other areas, it's not persecution so much as open warfare.

It is difficult to blame one side with both sides are guilty.

Um the same "Muslims" you generalize and talk about, are being killed by the same extremist that are killing Christians and saying "Allahu Akbar".

It is sad, you people are so thick headed and say "Where is the Muslims to denounce these men".

We have. Our organizations, leaders (political and spiritual) and even modern Muslim governments (despite being oppressive themselves) speak and fight against these murderous extremist.

You people act like it is only Christians and Jews who get targeted. Yet, Boko Haram has committed many heinous acts against Muslims, including targeting sheikhs and scholars who speak against them.

This is as stupid as the idiots who believe Al Qaeda only attacks Christians, when in reality they have killed more Muslims then any other group!

So while you lament of all the evil Muslims and how Muslims don't do anything to stop these extremist, thousand of Muslims are dying by suicide bombers and hitmen from Pakistan to Nigeria. Especially in Iraq.
