15-minute coronavirus blood test is being used in China, Italy and Japan - but NOT in the UK | Daily Mail Online

Coronavirus: UK developing new blood test which could reveal undetected spread
can people spread the virus to others without having any symptoms themselves and who will never exhibit any symptoms because their bodies don't allow them to have symptoms?

I believe those types are called "carriers"

Still correct and still reasonable.

Making sure that people don't become homeless is more important than making sure that one specific class of investors maintains the rate of return that it wants.
The people who get government's assistance are the one's
who have the power. This will be large classes like renters,
or large campaign donors. Landlords won't be either.
Just for fun, I fixed the post to be the way I want it.

Oh, yeah - all those people with precarious housing get all the breaks. If you ever want to find the people pulling the strings of our government, look no further than the people at risk of homelessness.
The homeless aren't much of a voting block. And
they're notorious for being stingy with political donations.

Back when US lenders started seeing home loan defaults
in the 2000s, government saw fit to aid the lenders, not the
borrowers. I thought this was ridiculous. Aid the borrowers,
save them, & this would rescue the lenders too. Neither
Bush nor Obama agreed with me.

Btw, I wasn't being kind....just proposing
the most benefitfor the least money.

If Canada can offer practical re-assurance to its renters why can’t the US?

At the moment only EI support and aid to business have been rolled out which are very limited. A lot of people do not have EI nor is the current plan open to everyone that does not have EI. It just removes the delay between filing and receiving aid for those already on it. Typically the delay is a week. People will still be paying at a later date as EI is still insurance. The business aid is for businesses that are shutdown or have reduced customers so those have the funds to pay their staff over firing staff or closing permanently. No money is going to citizens yet. However Parliament has granted executive authority over the coronavirus issue, and related issues, to the office of PM so there will be more to come.

That is amazing. Very good.

I am amazed that he is not having himself tested, as his wife has the virus
One can have the virus, without having symptoms and giving it to others

He is following his own government's policy. The Fed is not going to roll out mass testing of the whole population.

If, for the safety of others, a couple need to be quarantined to their home and therefore have no income to pay bills, they ought not be given eviction notices or have their power shut off.

It takes over a month in Canada for an eviction to be completed. First a landlord must present a formal document of failure of payment. Tenants have 14 days to pay any balance due. If the tenant does not pay within 14 days the landlord presents an eviction notice which does not come into effect for 1 month after handed over to the tenant. Major banks and companies like electric, water, etc already opened deferred payments without penalty nor a strike against one's record.

And what if they are running out of food?

Local government handles this with food supplies transferred by medical staff
