Agreed that Islam does not forbid all arts - but why is it forbidding some arts??? What are they and for what reason?
Some kind of instruments (stringed ones i guess) are forbidden in Islam - we now can make those sounds in an electronic synthesizer, something that didn't exist during the times of Prophet Mohammed. So what about these?
Moreover, there are very many kind of arts that Koran that it would have failed to mention (even its categories) - what about them?
Yes, I don't deny that there are possible forbidden arts in them selves. A member seems to insists that art per se is forbidden in Islam, so I went thru all that.
Those are good questions actually, and quite honestly I don't know the answers. I really don't know why those are forbidden, or rather, I'm not even sure if they really are forbidden for sure.
You do bring a good point in synthesizing instruments. If they are really forbidden, I'd like to know why. I really wonder if it is the actual real life instrument play or if there is something in its sound? It's really a mystery for me.
However, if they are forbidden indeed, they are not penalized neither in this life nor the after life (as far as I know) and I believe it is generally a complete personal choice to do them. I personally listen to all kinds of instrumentals but if I know someone around me doesn't like it, I'd turn it off out of respect.
I couldn't get what you mean in the last line. Could you please paraphrase (rephrase) it?
