Never tried. could give it a shot. Or I'll just braid it down before I go. Saves me some awkwardness of squishing my hair down hahaHuey ji there is a young man who goes to same Gurdwara as I and he has big hair so he covers it with one of those big jamaican looking wrap things people put over their dreadlocks. Can you get a bandana over your 'fro?
I love their food. BTW, at another website, my Catholic wife took a compatibility test, and her highest score was with Sikhism. I've been to some of their functions and have found them to be a very open people personally and religiously.
Gotta go until Sunday, but if I remember, I'll post some information if no one else does.
hello Gursikh I have ton of questions so forgive me
1.) May I ask why do Sikhs cover their head before entering the main hall?
2.) Do sikhs go to Gurudwara like once a week? day? Kinda like church(pardon the comparison but its all I know)
3.)What is a Sangat?
no way that's my city! thank you
Mother Mary's dimple cheeks! A fellow southerner praise the supreme force.:shout I think I might check it out thenYou're from Augusta? So am I!
I've been to that Gurdwara. It's quite lovely. Full of many wonderful people and great meditation & prayer. Plus the langar afterwards is great.
Some Gurdwaras don't like non-amritdhari people helping in the kitchen so you might want to take your time with that and ask someone if it's OK first. My favourite job is drying and putting away dishes - I'm too slow as a washer and it holds everyone up, and !
lol , we have roti rolling machines here at Darbar Sahib , which rolls thousands of roti per hour but even that much are not enough !!if I try to roll out rotis they end up looking like little maps of Australia LOL
