You can avoid having a sensible debate with such responses for sure.

There are many fundamental differences between Islam and the Baha’i Faith. In regards the OP question regarding a worldwide flood and the story of Noah look initially towards both science and religion. If science clearly proves something that contradicts religion, accept the science and have the courage to re-examine our religious beliefs. Religionists have a long history of overstepping it’s boundaries, denial and superstition.

It is you trying to tie what was said in to a Noah size flood.

I am saying, this passage is not telling us to disregard science in considering what has happened to the records of the past. It is telling of natural and man made events that can lead to the loss of records.

The Bible is not the only source of these tales of a great flood. We are told to look at the spiritual significance of the spiritual tales. We are to disregard tales that conflict with reason and science, as material fact.
