Bridging the Gap Between Believers and Skeptics
Not much thought there on what we might want, though.

Fair enough, but I don't know how to properly gauge what everybody else wants. The concept is not difficult to understand: deify someone you know (or Google) to be the God of something. Yeah, I had to Google the five people I posted, but it really wasn't that difficult. Plus, some people here made it fun. Even though I'm usually staunchly serious, and probably came across too much like that in this thread, I didn't think something like this could be that difficult to come up with.

What do you want, PureX? How would you like to approach this topic?

I see no value to be gained from this topic. So I feel no inclination to waste time and effort on it. And apparently I'm not alone in this opinion. Sorry. The only reason I posted was because it appeared that you really had not considered this.

There is no exercise that labels people, gods, that I would take seriously.

Then why did you waste your time and reply to this thread? Sure, I am in the minority on the idea or opinion that people could or should be deified, but there were people replied and gave a decent answer.

Again, then you shouldn't have replied to this thread. In fact, it was your decision to click on this thread and start replying. I can't force you to stop replying. That's on you, not me.

I realize that not all of my threads are perfect, but I try my best to give a thoughtful discussion for those who are interested in commenting about the topic. You have nothing constructive to say about this topic, so you shouldn't have commented to begin with. There's plenty of threads which I read and don't reply in, because I have nothing constructive to say about the topic. You should consider that the next time you send a message to a thread that you apparently have no interest in.

Sirona

Hindu Wannabe
Who: Bahaollah
God of what: God of gab.
Why: "His body of work is equivalent to more than 100 volumes - some 15,000 items have been identified and authenticated*; if compiled they would be greater than 70 times the size of the Qur’an and more than 15 times the size of all books of the Bible’s Old and New Testaments combined."
Baháʼu'lláh - Wikipedia
* And that is not all. I am told that there may still be more writings that have not been translated.

You know, those were my thoughts too.:clapping: What should be the purpose of blurring the line between human and divine if not to come up with this totally "unexpected" *cough* "suggestion".:smallredtriangle:

As a general side note, I find it abusive when people who want to sell a doctrine of salvation to others go to the Interfaith Forum because they can't (won't have to) stand the cold headwind.

Someone from high school used to call me "Lord Vagueness".
I'm told by several people that I have some kind of special talent, but when asked what it is, they couldn't really tell.
I love trippy music and art.
I often have difficulty expressing properly what's going on in my mind.
I have an awareness of and worship an "actual deity" that can't really be defined by anything specific.
So I guess that would make me the god of vagueness.

My hypothetical worshipers might also consider me the god of dust, as I'm not the most disciplined in keeping my living space clean and tidy.

Everyone should know there are only two gods that meet the qualifications of the op.

Thus said. Ahem....

George Burns.

Morgan Freeman.

I don't know about God, but my sister is dead set that Morgan Freeman should be the next president.

Dolly Parton.
Goddess of mammary glands. (And country music).

Seriously, if I were only allowed to listen to one country music artist, it would be she.
