Or, is it many whos and whats?

Or, don't you give thanks at all?

I don't think of it as giving thanks to anyone -

but more in the pleased and relieved sense; being thankful I have enough, good mates, etc.

I give thanks to all the gods and goddesses whose very assumed existence keeps millions upon millions of people from killing, raping, etc. out of fear of punishment and hope for reward.

Skwim......... on the side of the thread..... I am 66 yrs now and still don't know what Thanksgiving is about, or for. My wife and our neighbours don't know either, but we do know that it is as big, or bigger, than Xmas.

Plx can you tell us a little bit about it?

It's just an excuse for Americans to eat more pies!

I'm thankful that I woke up this morning,
and for the pumpkin pie, turkey, stuffing, especially the stuffing.
At the fear of getting mushy, I'm thankful for life and it's stuff.
And a good wish for Garon, my friend.

Right...!
I'll bet that not one Kentistanian nor Brummigan even noticed the day, unless there was a mid-week footie going on! :D Blimey, it wasn't even pay day! Nobeody even gets boozed up on a Thursday night...... :D
But the deepest depths of wise google were sounded, at last, after 66 years...... and apparently it's all about the Pilgrim Fathers' first harvest in 1621, when they gave thanks for it all. I'll tell the neighbours over the weekend in a 'bye-the-way-did-you-know?' session. They will probably just stare at me, all funny, like.... :p
