Here it is with background story Photo and Story from msn.com

The non-verbal down-syndrome child had become disturbed because of turbulence during an airline flight. This figure was not seen by the naked eye apparently. The mother is promoting nothing, just sharing.

Apparently anyone can photoshop a pic, tell a story about it you like, and get you to Believe.

This is almost as incredible as the video you posted with the winking Jesus statue.

I see. Why do you want to jump to the position that this woman is a wholesale liar?

Now, I do not know this woman personally so I do acknowledge the possibility that she is a wholesale liar. But after hearing thousands of paranormal stories I do not believe it is reasonable to believe that in every case that they are lies or misperceptions. I believe the paranormal happens.

I just implied that from the article. Maybe it was visible for a flash, but I don't know. But anyway, I also have come to believe the non-physical can do strange things to physical equipment in ways beyond my understanding.

if it was visible for a flash, does that entail that that woman had her camera ready to get a picture of that flash exactly at the location of occurence?

By the way, if that was the guardian angel of that child, where are the wings? And causing turbulence, is not very guardian like. He could get hurt or splatter his flight lunch all over the place.

The story explains that the child had found a new passion for taking photos on her cell phone and captured dozens of photos out the window.

And you believe that it was a genuine picture, right?

Your bar on paranormal episodes is quite low, I am afraid.

I didn't say she was a wholesale liar.
People believe all kinds of false things. This one could be a simple mistake by a gullible person with no intention to deceive. Maybe someone who knew she was prone to this sort of thing tricked her by playing with her phone. I don't claim to know.
Maybe she really is angling to make her son a "thing" on the internet and after his next two miracles set up a fund for him(in her name). The internet is full of more sophisticated scams than that. But you and zillions of other people bought this part. Only a small fraction of the people who shared this need donate $5 to a fund for his care in some way to be a great job for her.
From what I can tell reading your posts on RF you seem primed to be taken in by such a thing. Enough people are to keep all sorts of unethical behavior going on the internet. I doubt any of the many people who get scammed by helping the scammer self identified as "gullible dupes". They probably are more likely to self identify as unusually perceptive and have a well informed intuition.

Like you do.

It's fair to be skeptical about such events but to automatically assume they must be fake is to reject the possibility that they are real. The fact that it's an MSN story not from wackawacka.com lends a bit of credibility. The way the mom's comments were worded lends more.

I just want to point experiencing the paranormal is not the same thing as the paranormal happening.

Despite your insinuation of my silly credulity, I have actually said I have no way of knowing for certain whether it was genuine or a wholesale lie at this point. I went with 75% paranormal and 25% lie after consideration of all I know about this story and the paranormal in general.

Nothing you said there are possibilities I wasn't already aware of and considered BEFORE forming my opinion.
They probably are more likely to self identify as unusually perceptive and have a well informed intuition.

I do not consider myself intuitive or as having any unusual perception. I do believe I am good at looking at a large amount of information and forming logic-based positions.

In this particular story there is not much room for anything but the paranormal or an intentional fraud (by someone).

Yes my comment was in response to your comment in general, not in regards to this story. Often as a skeptic I can accused of doubt people's experience. Sometimes that's true, but often, for me at least, it's doubting the interpretation and explanation I doubt.
