That's what folks in Europe do, blame Russia but then continue business. Probably not the best way to get a deal, but Russians don't seem to be complaining.
Correction: that's what paranoiac Russophobes in Europe do.

My country is crazy for Putin:

Please keep in mind that just a few years ago German Intelligence agencies blamed Russian hackers not for Merkels loss (she won) but because she didn't get more votes that they think she should have.
Oh is this like when Trump blamed illegal Mexican voters in California— not for his election loss (he won), but because he didn’t win the popular vote like he thought he should have?

Whataboutism... Let's keep on topic, facts show that German Intelligence agencies first blamed Russian trolls and then blamed far right people from the United states ( I might be one of them, I posted many anti-Merkel statements on Youtube for I felt her to be a betrayer of Germany). It is all too ridiculous to consider in the grand scheme of things.

Oh, but it is relevant. Your argument is simply that it’s “ridiculous” to complain about election meddling if you ultimately win.

If you don’t find all such instances “ridiculous” that undermines your argument. Because if some cases of complaining about election meddling, even when you win, aren’t ridiculous, then that means it’s not so clear-cut that Merkel’s claims are, in fact, ridiculous too.

Don't know enough about this. but I do know that whoever controls a country's energy sources controls the country.
Germany gets about 60-70% of its gas from Russia, and that percentage will increase with the new pipeline. However, gas accounts for less than 20% of Germany’s energy mix for power production. So even with the Nord Stream’s increase in Russian gas usage, Germany’s energy sources won’t be close to “totally controlled” by Russia.

Thanks for the details. What is the mix for the non-natural gas energy usage?

Merkel and the Germany governments are liars taking advantage of anything when it suits their purposes. I remember the German government being outraged over Trump and Putin relations.... But that oil...... Another reason to kick NATO to the curb in my mind.
Almost like there can be nuance in the relationships between countries. Mind boggling, I know.

Not sure why this graph has natural gas at 13% when most places have it closer to 20%. But it was the nicest pie chart I could find. :p.

Apparently they are trying to get off nuclear and hopefully replace with renewables. Personally I hope it doesn’t just turn into replacing it with that sweet Russian gas since it would be cheap and easy.

I was pleasantly surprised to see renewables at such a high percentage, and also surprised at coal being such a high percentage (over 36% combined) I assumed a higher nuclear contribution, I think.

Thanks, by the way, for doing my homework for me.
