Not sure if using inverted pentagram is a good idea.

Here is a glimpse into how I view the Pentagram as a Setian, with some quotes from the "Book of Coming Forth by Night";

"When I (Set) came first to this world, I gave to you my great pentagram, timeless measure of beauty through proportion. And it was shown inverse, that creation and change be exalted above stasis and rest.

The Setian need conjure neither curse nor kindness from me, for by the magic of my great pentagram I shall see with his eyes. And the strength that is mine shall be the strength of the Setian, and against the Will of Set no creature of the Universe may stand." -
Set, the BoCFbN

The Pentagram of Set

The five points of the Pentagram of Set do not touch the outer circle symbolizing that the Setian / Satanic Consciousness is something separate and distinct from the order of the cosmos. The pentagram can also transform into a magickal gateway during ritual workings linking the mind of the Setian with the Mind of Set, the Prince of Darkness. For me it is the most sacred and powerful of all Magickal symbols.

Option 1 (right hand path): fear and avoid it, don't use something with so much baggage.

Option 2 (left): it's a bunch of lines. Redefine it.

Option 2 - Yes. :smilecat:

An essential aspect of the beauty of the pure pentagram itself is that geometrically it is a perfect embodiment of the phi or "golden ratio". And it was also held sacred by the ancient Pythagorean Brotherhood who honored the god Baal.

The powerful influence of the psychecentric subjective universe upon the objective universe is quite fascinating and reveals how magick really works when it comes to religious and occult symbols and objects. Over time these symbols and objects can and will begin to take on the powers and traits ascribed to them by the individual human psyche. An excellent example of the Magical Link at Work. It is real and it works.

For me personally, the inverted pentagram represents humanity's internal divinity/power. We are unlike the rest of nature in that we can willfully change ourselves and the world. Whereas other species may be holy in the naturalistic way symbolised by an upright pentagram, they do not have our level of consciousness, self-awareness, etc. They certainly don't seem to think in rational, structured ways, instead being more inclined to programming and conditioning. This is not to say humans are free of this or not animals, but we have an undeniably greater level of thought. While cats have strength and spiders have webs, we have intelligence. That gift is the inverted pentagram.
