Nuke wars and aliens

Would a alien race, like the Grays (Zeta Reticuli) or the Nordics (Pleiadians), allow us to destroy ourself in a nuke world war?

With them having presumed bases and all their contactees.

Yes. If they do exist, and have a base here, they simply have not stopped us from destroying ourselves already.

I'm with Seyorni on this one.
If they exsist, I can easily see why any open contact is not hapening.
If they are intelligent enough to cross space to get here, they can surely see we can't get along amongst ouselves. (constant warfare & strife) Why would they think we could get along with them?

They may. Could they be immune to the effects of the radioactive fallout? Maybe it would be a convenient way for them to have a nice new planet to populate, already equipped with highways and such (now in need of repair in some major cities that were hit by nuclear devices).

Basically, and I haven't much of the aliens races, so I couldn't make a solid judgment at all. I feel like if aliens wanted us dead, they would have already done it, so there is that possibly that they might stop nuclear war from that civilization. It is possible that they are indifferent to our plight, and would let us destroy ourselves. However, it is possible that we still doing a big favorite by centralizing our own resources (such as gold) in concentrated amounts. If the extraction process is not finished, then they might not let us kill ourselves.

The aliens may have simply taken control of the planet from behind the scenes. That way they can avoid all the potential (probable) conflict with our race, and use us as tools to obtain their resources or whatever for them. It's not that they will either stop us from nuclear destruction, or not stop us, it is that they simply would not LET it happen in the first place.

To me the grays aren't all that good anyway, from personal experience and what others have said. The grays only treat their contactees as lab rats.

They should have the technology to clean everything up and re-populate the earth with its former life forms or with their own.
