Um... why, exactly, would visiting a Sikh temple further the image that Obama is a Muslim? Is that supposed to be reasonable thinking?

I just wonder if it could be due to the fact that some Sikhs wear turbans and therefore are automatically associated with Arabs? And of course, we all know that there is a common stereotype about all Arabs being Muslims which of course is not true.

This could keep the Keith Olberman's and Rachel Madcow's of the world going for weeks... besides the field day the White House could have with anyone who said a peep.

I don`t think I`m delusional at all (The deluded rarely do) and yes I do find Obamas decision perfectly understandable in this political climate.

YmirGF, I drive to work every day past a herd of idiots waving signs that simultaneously scream about the evils of socialized medicine while demanding the government keep their hands off medicare.

My country is in the midst of the worst economic recession since the 1920`s due to GOP tax policies and GOP financial anti-regulations policies, and corporate greed.
The people the GOP have running for office in this mid term election are doing so on a platform of more de-regulation for financial institutions, corporate de-regulation and lowering taxes!They are kicking the crap out of the Dems and independents in the polls running on the same or worse platforms that have nearly destroyed us.
Many of the GOP candidates winning in the polls were the very same corporate executives who put us in this situation.
Many of them have been found guilty of fraud and have been made to pay enormous fines for their part in this mess yet they are WINNING!!

My countrymen are supporting the very people who have spent their careers ******* us over and my countrymen KNOW they have been ******* us over yet they support them anyway.

I don`t want to fight with you YmirGF but I don`t think you adequately understand the depth of insanity that has overtaken my country.

Well, on the bright side, this article has caused me to learn something new today. I am still very hazy of Sikhism but I have learned about some architecture and culture I didn't previously know!

Also, if he would have went the right wing media would have gone to town. I can see it now, "President Obama declares Jihad on the United States, hurts chances of re-election in 2012".

And that is only a bit exaggerated. It is sad, but it is true. There is no logic or reason in the media. It is all just one big entertainment industry and the news is a manifestation of that to a certain extent. The ignorant would have used this on so many levels. It is illogical and could be bested, but in practice this would be a huge blemish on Obama's political record.

Intresting thing that people spend lot of money to treavel accross the countries to visit this Outer Golden temple, But they feel difficult to visit in the True Golden temple of body which is near than nearest,
