Can you believe that this is actually an issue? It's the President of the United States, for crying out loud. Apparently he's not even allowed to make a back-to-school speech about the value of hard work and staying in school without being villified.

If I were the president, I would simply ignore those people and speak anyways. They may pay taxes but if I were already elected, then their opinion would never stand in the way of my doing the right thing.

He's going to speak, but Dallas schools aren't going to play the speech, because, after all, he's only the President, so who does he think he is to address the nation's school children about the value of education?

Here's a thought. Let's pull federal funding for Texas schools.

That's just it: in the article there are a few parents quoted who are actually pulling their kids out of school the day of. Astounding. The same ones complaining about "socialist Obama" are pulling their kids out of public school for a day as a protest.

Nelson went on to refer to himself as "a fiscally responsible grandfather" and said he's being roped into paying for government programs he doesn't believe in. "I've been on welfare and food stamps...did anyone help me?" Nelson said, perhaps not realizing that welfare and food stamps are actually forms of government aid.

It`s like those people at the Town Halls last week or so telling the governemnt to stay out of their Medicare!

How do you get this stupid?
