Life is so hard. I had to read an off-topic post on an internet message board.

I spent the last three days finishing up my move across town while juggling my daughter's attendence at a Halloween party and trick or treating.

Sometimes, I think it may be more insidious when a situation isn't extreme enough to motivate changing it.

I can relate - I don't have any real problems a shower, a bottle of Pinot Noir or a good book can't fix, but it would be nice to have more money. Maybe I'll get around to that - tomorrow.

I have too much freedom in my new job. I can't enjoy the victory of strolling through the office door exactly on time any more, or the shame of being 5 minutes late, or the irritation at being 5 minutes early, because of flex time. And to top it all off...

I had to have a nice meal in a Hilton hotel last night and get free wine and drinks bought for me by a corporate sponsor while they were trying to offer jobs to people and get everyone drunk AND I was expected to wear a suit.

Pff - you think you've got it rough. I feel like bugging out early today and my boss totally doesn't care how many hours I put in, or when I put them in. By leaving now I will probably make a little bit less money. * sigh*, Oh well. Off I go.
