Oh No! I Have MRSA!

I appreciate that! Know you are still in mine as well....

I wouldn't say I have something NOBODY has ever had, but at this point.....???????
They know there is fluid on the knee still, no clue why though. First round of blood tests were all negative, so I go back for more next week. Anti-inflamitories haven't helped at all, steroids made it worse, so now they have no clue WHAT or WHAT TO DO..... Been a battle all year at this point....

Ringer, my thoughts and prayers are with you to get better soon. You too Comet. :)

Did they tell you to change your diet or anything? I know that fruits and veggies have antioxidants that will boost your immune system...I don't know if eating more of those will help. :)

I generally eat pretty healthy. Once I went to college and was able to buy my own food, I avoid overly processed foods and sweets. As an example, today I had Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal for breakfast, almonds and steamed broccoli for a snack, and a Lean Cuisine pita sandwhich for lunch. I've been making more of a push to get more Vitamin C in my diet as of late so we'll see if that has any significant benefit. It just looks like a have a nasty strain of the staph. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers, Hema.

Aw, don't mention it Dear. Send positive thought of love to your body also, especially the parts that are affected, it will help the healing process. :)

MRSA is very contagious and once you have had it-you are immediately "flagged" when going into a hospital and kept in isolation-until it is proven that you no longer have the thing. It does seem to be making the rounds in all states.

CDiff is another "biggie"

I have worked in hospitals over 15 years and they just don't seem to go away-they always pop up coming in to the ER's on a regular basis.

Take your antibiotics and be extra careful. You will have to go test afterwards to make sure it is completely out of your system.
