Ok to Be .......

I would like a whole daisy chain:

Ok to be whatever you want to be and let everyone else be what they want to be as long as they are not stopping others beeing whatever they want to be.

How is that for a badge? or a bag perhaps? Or a logo T-shirt?

:)
LOL, I'll have to gain weight just to get a shirt big enough to write all that!!:D

I think the more "OK's" there are, the less it means. It becomes just another gimmick.

But the point of the "gimmick" is to effect people's thinking.

If it results in people who are more tolerant and accepting of one another,
and less afraid to be themSelves...
then it has served it's purpose.

Ok to Be Pagan, Ok to Be Bi, Ok to Be Poly, Ok to Be Sexy, Ok to Be Witchy, Ok to Be MySelf, Ok to Be Me, Ok to Be.
I was trying to decide which of these to have engraved on the tag on my collar but then I looked and noticed it already says "PROPERTY OF MISTRESS CHRISTIE" so there isn't much room. :(

So it doesn't work with anything using "a" or "the" before hand... What about these?

Is it ok to be too serious?

Is it ok to be too judgmental?

Is it ok to be too funny?

Is it ok to be too sexy?

How about too ridiculous?

In general I agree with the principle; I think I am just interested in what others think the limitation on the principle is...

Ok to be Pagan

Nope. "too" doesn't work.

Really I'm just thinking catchy and simple.

It's not the ...
"OK to be too"
campaign.

It's the
"OK to be"
campaign.

"OK to be"
makes the intent somewhat self evident.

So "be" must be unconditional and unqualified...

I think I will leave well enough alone actually. It is really too easy to pervert this beyond its obvious intent. For instance: "It's ok to be murderous." Obviously not what was intended...

Not that I'm trying to convince anyone of anything.

I just think there has to be an effective way
to influence the younger generations
to openly embrace their own way,
and also be truly comfortable... and OK...
with the unique and varied ways of others.

Positive, fun, a little trendy.
That all works.

not that I'm in advertising per say,
but that's what i see around me anyway.

Actually I think it's clever and ashame people can't embrace eachother's differences while still being different or being able to disagree.

"Can't we all just get along?"

I actually addressed that example in an earlier post.

Obviously it's possible to pervert ANY catch phrase,
or slogan or anything for that matter.
And people do that sort of thing all the time.
I think if the intent is clear enough though,
people KNOW they are twisting... or parodying it...
and so still the point is there.

It's ok to be right all the time...

I know of many people who seriously believe in this...

OK to be right

is much more fitting... and also fits on a small bracelet.

how about
Left wrist... OK to be right
Right wrist... OK to be wrong
(or vice versa)

Some people have trouble with either one of these.

Friend UV,

Ok to Be .......

It has been, it is and it will be always OK to be....
[even if it is not advertised]

Since it is OK, we all are HERE-NOW, alive and kicking singing different tunes which has a harmony in its disharmony.

Ooh, I'd wear those..

Also what about emotional states? I watched a program the other day where a lady professor did a massive research and found out that people have become very intolerant to emotions. Like at the first sign of sadness or melancholia people grab valium or prozac, and everyone thinks that they should be content and happy at all times..

So how about these few:

Its OK to be sad

Its ok to be happy

Its OK to be kind

Its ok to be caring

Its OK to be clever

And one for girls:

its ok to be uninterested in shoes and bags (a little personal, that one ;))

Just ditch the "Its". ;)

They all work for me.

Hence the reason for this discussion, so the boundaries can become clear.

Well that's why you can custom make your own.

If people just let other people be,
the world would be a much better place.

it is OK to be you. therefor you are already you.

imo we humans should look within. we should all try to make only ourselves better in the way we believe. but we rather look out side and judge others as if we were so perfect. nobody is perfect and each person has life time enough to correct him/herself alone. we call it purifying ego. i do not know what you would call it so i used terms i know. so please do not come up and say "i am perfect, there is nothing to make better within me". i would not believe that. everyone is on a path and everyone is exactly where s'he should be. but that does not mean they did reach the ultimate self. IMO :)
