Old testament: Good and bad forces at war

Is it possible that the Old Testament is full of Spiritual Stories both Good and Bad? In otherwords is it full of GOD v SATAN throughout?? God would not get someone to kill their Child, but an evil force most probably would for control. God would never try and control someone, but would ask them to question themselves. Evil forces would try and control and make people do things. So is the Old Testament wriiten history of Good v Evil??? What do you think?
