River Raid FTW!

Along with Star Raiders, Robot Tank, Yar's Revenge, Circus Atari, Berserk, Surround (AKA Light Cycles), Space Shuttle, Tron: Deadly Discs, and Defender.

Just to name a few :)

I also played overkill a lot.

For non-computer games, I really loved playing mortal combat on SNES (I think).

Super Mario was a great one. Hey, does anybody remember those old football games for Nintendo (I think one was Tecmo SuperBowl or something) where you could throw 100 yard passes? Those old football games were always fun. I know this game isn't real old, but the first Crash Bandicoot (along with most of the other Crash Bandicoots) was a great game. In fact, the Crash Bandicoot series are some of my favorite games to play. My cousin and I will delete all our progress, start all over, and beat the game in a matter of a few hours (depending on which one).

That reminded me of the time a dear friend of mine and I would spend playing Spyro! Oh, I loved that game. Only the original, though. The others stink! I remember we got into it around the time Eiffel 65 came out, and we'd play it while listening to I'm Blue... fun times. Every time I hear that song now, I think of Spyro and taking turns playing it. :D

Did anyone else here play through the original Thief? I remember sitting for ten twenty minutes listening to zombies, waiting for the perfect opening, when all of a sudden, "WHACK!" and one gets me. After sitting calmly (and securely) for so long, gettingg whacked was always starteling lol.

I think that you can find a good copy of the Lemmings games on the internet. I know I did ;).

I went through all those on mum's first computer (which she got in '93). :p She had this really cool tetris-like game (you had to build up points to buy things to help you get through all the different levels...bombs...things that turned bricks from unmoveable steel, to regular bricks...things like that). I loved all the Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong games, but I only ever got to play them on my Gameboy. Also The Lost Vikings...

Ooh, I've seen that in my travels, but wasn't sure if it'd be any good. I'll have to check it out. :jiggy:

Chrono Cross... good times. :D

I hate those little addicting things. I have the original on SNES, Lemmings 2: The Tribes (Which is insanly hard) on Sega, Lemmings Paintball for PC, and a Lemmings PC collection.

Another one of my favorite games, is Starcraft. I played, and dominated Battlenet, until after Warcraft 3 came out, and shortly after, a bunch of new people started playing, and swore up and down that massing Protoss Carriers would garuante victory. (Anyone know what I'm talking about?) Both Diablo games are also great. I just bought the Megaman X collection for PS2. Thats gonna be hours of fun.

As a Mortal Kombat-fan myself I would like to ask you to please never type Kombat with a "c" in combination with Mortal again :slap:

Also, please don't use it in combination with the SNES as that was the worst version Mortal Kombat ever had..

AND, as Im in a correcting mood, the SNES is a computer so you cannot place it in the non-computercatagory..

But for the rest you are right, besides the command and conquerseries (and riverraid) this is the only real cool game :jiggy:

Yes, Mortal Kombat...my favorite was II (though I do concede Deception has won a place in my heart with MK Chess and Puzzles Fighter lol).

Following Christ
Lords of Conquest - it's an electronic version of Risk, world conquest and stuff like that.

Back in 'the day':p, we would play this stupid game for HOURS on our Atari 800XL. Recently, I found a Windoze version, so I've been able to play against the computer opponent. It's not quite the same, but it does bring back some memories.:)

MKD is GREAT stoned. Almost as good as playing GTA in cinematic mode, I dont think there are much better games for that category.

Did I mention that I play the original GTA more than I have played all 3D ones combined? Thats a game that I cant ever grow out of.
