Only one possible reason for the universe?

I don't see how the OP's logic follows. I was taught in RCIA that God created everything out His love. Love is God's creative power - in fact, it is the ultimate creative power - and it "overflowed" as it were and this resulted in the creation of the cosmos.

Not really. There is a catch. If tomorrow science proves that the universe arose out of 'absolute nothing' (possibilities are there), then this belief will not work.Hindu scriptures do say 'Aham Bramasmi' (I am Brahmn), 'Ayamatma Brahman' (This self is Brahman), 'So Aham' (Iam the very same), but they do not say that as persons, they say it as 'what exists in the universe', 'the Ultimate Substrate', 'Brahman'. They also equally emphatically say 'Tat twm si' (That is what you are).
Which is why I have always stipulated, here and elsewhere, it's only if there is a God. Morality remains, only divine purpose is missing, supposedly without an afterlife as well.

Whatever RICA is, is wrong. Love is only one facet of the greater, total quality of God ( Truth).

About 100,000'000,000 galaxies each hosting about 100,000,000,000 stars (just in the observable Universe) out of love for a primate living in one of the planets orbiting one of those stars?

That is a heaven of an overflow :)

RCIA = Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

It's the process for how people convert to Catholicism.

I don't know how you view God, but in Christianity God is Love, as well as Truth.

You assume that we're the only planet with sentient life on it. I think such an assumption is quite ridiculous.

sen·tient·ly adverb

**** Romans. No sense of humor (Monthy Python) :)

Do you think Jesus incarnated, died and resurrected, as an alien in those other planets with sentient life, as well?

I have a sense of humor, I just don't see where the joke was?

No. The teaching is that God Incarnated once, as Jesus, and that was it. We don't even know if extraterrestrial sentient lifeforms have fallen out of grace with God, like humans have. Maybe they are still living in harmony with Him. I wouldn't doubt that God has reached out to them in some way, regardless. We will find out eventually, I guess. The Vatican doesn't have a problem with the idea of alien life. They said that if we meet aliens and if we can communicate with them, we should offer them Baptism. :)

I hope their blood is not acid. Water, holy or not, might be unpleasant. For sure, spreading the Gospel might look funny.

I am sure you will find out eventually, whether those aliens lived in harmony with God.. If you find yourself in heaven mainly surrounded by beings with 14 legs, then you will know.

In this case, will Jesus still look like us (primates from earth)? That could be a little confusing for them. :)

Yes, these are all valid considerations. Lol. I just choose to keep an open mind about it. I am surely full of awe and wonder at the cosmos and it fascinates me to ponder what may be out there. I hope to see all sorts of various beings in Heaven, from all over the cosmos. That would be magnificently joyous. :)

Jesus does have a human body, yes. But if the alien beings are in a state of grace and in unity with God, they will not mind. :)

:) Under the assumption that He did not need to do the same job for any of those aliens. Otherwise, there might be some issues concerning political correcteness. :)

Well, if they needed Salvation like us, His Sacrifice would cover them, too. Like I said, I'm quite sure God would've reached out to them, too. :)

What sacrifice? The one here on earth? Well, I wonder how the vatican is planning to send missionaries over there to communicate the good news that they are saved, if they accept someone who sacrificed Himself 10000000 light years from there.

But maybe we are saved by His sacrifice over there. Who knows? That would be parochial to prefer a location to another. And being flogged, dying, resurrecting and taking off to another location multiple times can be distressing. And if they have 14 legs, then maybe the right symbol for a cross is an asterisk, who knows?

But they might dissolve in water or be harmed by it, like the aliens in Signs. I don't think that one is well thought out.

Oh, I see this was already addressed in this thread. :D
