Exactly. And when you try to draw them out by accepting the "deist" God for argument's sake and ask what's next, they always resort to temporizing answers. They can't get from the deist God to theirs.

Once you reach that point it usually breaks down into an exercise in bald assertions. (at least, that's been my experience)
