"A US intelligence agent arrested after shooting dead two men was the acting head of the CIA in Pakistan and had been gathering intelligence for drone attacks, according to intelligence sources".

He was allegedly involved in conspiring to hand out important sensitive information about the security of some of the highly important areas of the country to the TTP taliban and extremist groups, which consolidated the suspicion about CIA perpetrating/ provoking/helping the extremists to carry out their terror missions resulting in chaos in the state.

Yes I am wondering just how far drawn out the episode will go. U.S is already threatening cutting off foreign aid (though its impact is very debatable outside of pure military assistance).

Especially considering the widespread discontentment both of the Zardari government and hate of the U.S. I would think that if protests spread to Pakistan (vis a vis the Arab world) then the result would be a military installed leader setting back both countries agendas for a while.

And ,a puppet corrupt regime , well supported and exploited by the US , has let Mr. Davis go scott free.

Apparently his life was more important than the 3 poor men he murdered in cold blood in broad daylight . One of the wives of the murdered, recently committed suicide, pleading for justice. The bereaved families were forced to sign on papers for diyat, ( exchange of blood money) inspite of the fact that this guy's crimes go far beyond murder, he was caught red handed with material of high treason against Pakistan.

I wonder how a muslim in US would be treated had he killed 3 people in broad daylight, Even if 'they' were the offenders .

So who were the two guys he shot, the third guy was hit by a car with " U.S. 'consulate personnel'" inside.

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah says Davis was charged with murder on Wednesday but was then pardoned by the families of the victims in exchange for the compensation payment.

She said that according to the settlement, the families of the Lahore shooting victims pardoned Davis, after receiving the blood money.

The third guy was crushed repeatedly by the Big jeep ( land cruiser) and fled off the scene.

The raymond guy after having shot the men right in their heads, got out of the car, shot them 9 times Again to.. ,i don't know what !He was a pro at shooting since he shot all the targets which were moving, from the inside of the wind screen of his car, how accurate. had he left without firing the 'shots of victory' of having shot them so accurately, even he might have gotten the time to run and disappear.

what do you mean who were the 3 guys? Have you read anything up on them?
