A team of physicians and psychologists will give the license to these parents.
Thoughts?
Parenting license is a good idea.
Actually the guidance should begin before the child is even born.
Actually even before that … when a couple decides to marry.
Every step of the way - some folks need guidance via regulations.
Obviously many people have proven they are incompetent. They need regulations.
As science progresses - we will eventually realize that we need guidance before we become parents. Maybe we disqualify to be even a parent.
It would even make sense to have an agency (a group of doctors, scientists, psychologists) deciding who should or should not even procreate.
Many factors should be considered even before issuing a permit for pregnancy.
An individual suffering from bipolar disorder - should not be allowed to be a parent. As a matter of fact - they should not even be allowed to procreate.
Not only there is huge chance (at least 10%) that the child will also be a bipolar - it is also quite likely that - the parent would be a neglectful parent.
Random drug screening of parents or wanna be parents should be mandatory. It is a huge responsibility to be a parent and you should NOT be on drugs if you want to be a parent.
Punishment for bad parents or violators of such a license:
The punishment should be mandatory community service... cleaning streets, parks and public restrooms/toilets.
This will prevent some irresponsible parents from repeating their offense.
If the screening process for potential parents begins even sooner - prior to marriage licensing time - then many future issues can be avoided.
Sometimes two people are just not compatible to even procreate. So, an early look could be a good thing. I know it would be a sad thing for two love birds to find out they shouldn't even marry each other but the reality could be a b**** sometimes.
Sooner is better than later.
Save the kids or yet to be born kids.
