It's disgusting, certainly. To ask G-d to kill someone is absolutely despicable.

Though, that film? Death of a President? It's speculative fiction. I don't see what's wrong with it. Just because the filmmakers made a film in which Bush was assassinated, doesn't mean they want Bush assassinated. I write stories with vampires torturing people with cigarettes for fun. Do you think that means I believe vampires actually exist? Do you think that this means I want to torture people with cigarettes, or want to be tortured with cigarettes?

Okay, just don't answer that if you think the affirmative, and let me preassure you I am neither sadistic nor masochistic .

If I write a story including the attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan having possibly been successful, is that offensive? I'm taking a what if scenario and writing afterward. What would happen IF Reagan had been assassinated? That doesn't mean I advocate the assassination of Ronald Reagan, or that I every would intend to do such a thing. I don't see how this is different, unless the filmmakers went out of their way to make it offensive.
