Pat Robertson said:
"There is no such thing as separation of church and state in the Constitution. It is a lie of the Left and we are not going to take it anymore." Pat Robertson, November 1993 during an address to the American Center for Law and Justice

Where on earth does he get off saying things like that?

or how about this famous one:

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians." -- Pat Robertson, fundraising letter, 1992

or

"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 1/8/92

or even:

"I don't know that atheists should be considered citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."-- George Bush

Come on, folks. He said this stuff almost 15 years ago. He's got to have said stupid things since then.

Or: Many of those people involved with Adolf Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals--the two things seem to go together." Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," January 21, 1993

***? Seriously. What is wrong with this man?

that's a link with a LOT of quotes.

Here's one for you becky (and I think maize):

A cult is any group that has a form of godliness, but does not recognize Jesus Christ as the unique son of God.... One test of a cult is that it often does not strictly teach that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who Himself is God manifested in the flesh.... Christian-oriented cults include the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), the Worldwide Church of God, Christian Science, Unity, Unitarianism, The Way International, Rosicrucian Society of America, Bahai, Hare Krishna, Scientology, the Unification Church, and the Jehovah's Witnesses.
-- Pat Robertson, CBN pamphlet entitled "Cults," dated 1992

Pat Robertson is a dork. And he's said some truly hateful things.

His ministry as a whole however, HAS accomplished good and I think it's a shame that the positives that have come out of his work will be forgotten amidst the muck that has spewed forth from his mouth.

Oh, is that where candidate for US Senate Katherine Harris, now Rep. Harris (FL) got her ideas?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/25/AR2006082501640.html
ORLANDO, Aug. 25 -- Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.) said this week that God did not intend for the United States to be a "nation of secular laws" and that the separation of church and state is a "lie we have been told" to keep religious people out of politics.

And me as well, it seems. The least he could do is spell my religion right. ;)

Amazing, by his definition even the Patriarchs in Judaism would've have been cult members. Things that make you go hm....

Hehe, yeah. He may be a horrible man, and he may have actually believed this rubbish when he said it, but it is a very funny quote, I'm thinking of getting it put on a t-shirt.:D
