Yup. First it will only be people who don't have it yet, but the next go around will be to hand the peasants who have retired, like me, funny people who don't count, a bit of cash that does no good to keep us alive.

They're sowing the wind. The whirlwind will be world shaking.

It's the Libertarian ideology that cannot stand people receiving help from the government. Do it yourself, get it yourself, or go without. They like to pretend people can be entirely self-sustaining and independent. Hence the Right-wing assaults on medicare and other public spending, including lies to try and get others behind them.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
You don't need one because nobody is just going to elimate healthcare much less Medicare outright and leave it at that.

I think what was meant there is that if Ryan and his coalition does wish to rebuild Medicare from the ground up, then what is his actual plan?

I actually don't think he will, even if it does run counter to the ideology of the republican platform, because of this:

I hate that I sound ageist, but for the sake of our children's future, this thing needs a maximum age.

This is something that needs to be considered. It's reality that the older the voter, the less longer they have to live with their vote. In the UK, today's youth are going to be tomorrow's seniors dealing with an exit vote they didn't want. In America, despite shifting social attitudes towards things like LBGT rights and marijuana, the youth are going to have to deal with a Conservative Supreme Court judge that is going to be ruling in favor of an ideology that is on its death bed.
