trump is severely narcissistic. that emboldens him to lie far more consistently and boldly than most other politicians. he really is shifting the overton window in bad ways. For anyone who values truth, it's extremely hard to know how to deal with having a severely narcissistic president.

I watched her carefully during the speech.

She talked to herself during the whole time. At least four times she looked totally confused, as if she didn't know where she was, lots of vodka can do that, I have heard. Apparently her dentures were bothering her, as her many mouth movements seemed to indicate.

She tore up the speech, which was her pitiful expression of frustration.

She is so frustrated because she has made a fool out of herself, because Trump lives in her head.

Impeachment has become an albatross around her neck, Trump is more popular now than when impeachment began.

She thought she was making a brilliant tactical move when she failed to send the articles to the senate for a month. She was going to force the senate to do her will, she had to back down, and looked like a doofus,

I found her behavior during the speech amusing., I found her tearing the speech up to be hilarious. Simply a clear example of her powerlessness, her consumption by TDS.

The Teflon Don plays in her brain, and she can get nothing to pin on him.

Four more years are going to make her a drooling idiot.

Of course, she could choose to act and react like an adult, sadly, she can't.

It was unprecedented behavior for a speaker, aggressively rude and unapologetically meant to rile up her base. It was divisive, but effective.

The tear seemed to get just as much morning TV attention as the content of Trump's speech. Conservatives denounced her disrespect. Liberals praised her passion. Both sides were incentivized to heap attention onto the moment. It took the Democrats three years, but they may have finally figured out how to control a news cycle in the Trump era.

There are times when people have to say "you started it. We'll finish it". Sometimes people need to fight back mano a mano and when that happens, I can approve of it.

The media is all about Pelosi vs Trump today and given that he read a campaign speech, it's a good political outcome.
