People to whom you have been attracted

Kal-El's Mama
I was attracted to a rebel man who took chances no matter what happens. As I got older, I changed my interest because those chances lead to things that did not work out. But you learn from your mistakes.

Humor interests me. Umongst other things like kindness, soft inner touch, etc.

My wife & I celebrated our 10th anniversary this past January 21, so I haven't dated recently. :D But, as I was thinking back to the women to whom I was attracted, they all came from some sort of 'disfunctional' family.

My parents married 3 years before I was born, are still married, and never seperated. If I were am amateur psychologist, I would conclude I was attracted to someone who 'needed' me for some sense of normalcy. But, I've been known to play a lawyer on the internet, not a psychologist, so I really can't draw any conclusions. ;)

I have been married to the same gorgeous babe for 23 years. I never thought she would ever go out with me, much less marry me. Any time we talk about "taste", I always come out ahead! :D

Well, I'm glad that the stereotype of, "Girls are attracted to guys like their fathers/who were brought up with the same ideas on intimacy" doesn't apply to EVERYONE, or else I would personally be better off shooting myself now, and getting ahead of the game. ;)

I consider myself to be very picky about guys...Shania's "That don't Impress Me Much" comes to mind. As a result, I've only ever had two "serious" relationships (aka, lasting more than 4 months) in my life. (Let it be kown that the word 'serious' is in quotes with respect to the first relationship, which was mere childish infatuation compared to the second. Whacha!) Basically, I lack the usual feminine instinct of, "OMG! I HAVE to have a guy!" I'd rather not waste my time, lol.

I also don't think it is possible to fall in love numerous times. Well, maybe a couple times, but one difference between infatuation and love is the rarity of it. I believe that true love is very rare. Once you find it, you'd better never let it go.

I love you, Eric.

I have never been strongly attracted to anyone, by looks any way. I remember the many sleepovers I have had with all of my friends talking about all of these hot guys and I would be left out. I am very strongly attracted to peoples personalities, but unfortunately I can't, at the time, get close enough to someone to get to know their personality. Still, I can't say it enough, I can't wait to go to college.

I, like some others, must be an exception then! I'd rather stay single than end up with someone like my dad. I actually find men very, very opposite of him to be attractive. I've been attracted to a lot of different guys, but I find that I, like Martha, seem to have a very protective, nurturing side to me, which therefore makes guys that are somewhat dysfunctional, or have difficult backgrounds, to be very, very appealing to me. I was attracted to the last guy I dated not merely for his good looks, but for the shyness, vulnerability, and sensitivity that he exuded. There was more to him than met the eye. I love that in people. I find depth extremely attractive.

Beautiful face and body, I wonder who the artist responsible is. Ah the cynicism.

EEk, girls that is SO TRUE! Beware! I never even met my husband yet when I fell in love with him online because of his poetry and good heart, well when I did meet him he didn't look like my dad, but when the two met, they started chatting like old chums and it seems they had EVERYTHING in common! It really startles me sometimes - like the other day my husband was singing around the house, and the song was all too familiar, it was one my dad always sung when I was little!!

This is a very interesting thread so far. I like to hear all your guy's answers.

That reminds me of when I had already been married a few years; one day in the Bank, I saw a girl feverishingly working away. I went up to her and asked "Is there anything I could do for you ?" .

She quietly stopped doing what she was doing, looked me up and down a couple of times, and said " Frankly, No.". You could hear the laughter out in the street!:D
