The beautiful simplicity of Christianity-
Jesus's young cousin John was a world-rejecter living rough in the middle of nowhere eating wild food and dressed in near-rags, sometimes going in town to yell insults at the snooty priests and corrupt rulers.
Jesus's verdict on him? -
"John is the greatest man ever to be born" (Matt 11:11)
John in action v Herod and Salome-
"In the wilderness of Judea...John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey" (Matt 3:1-4)

hem----it's Herod and Herodias. Salome is Herodias's daughter.
