It's a sobering thought that, if one lets 'z' represent the radius and 'a' represent the height of the crust, the volume of food becomes ...

That is so awesome!

Thin crust, on the crispy side for me! And lots of chunky tomato sauce. My favorite toppings combo is pepperoni, green pepper, and mushrooms. But then again, if the word "pizza" is being used to describe the food I am going to eat it regardless.

I also am a fan of this buffalo wing pizza that Nancy's does. It's a big, greasy, soggy pizza with mozzarella cheese, buffalo sauce, spicy chicken chunks, and celery. Dip in hot sauce and ranch and blue cheese. Yum!

Maybe not. What they do is they make your pizza, wrap it up, and you take it home and bake it. There pizzas are also kinda big and on the cheap side. There only real downside is they use alot (I mean ALOT) of cheese and generous topping portions which makes their pizzas pretty greasy. And there are a few of them, here at least, located right next to (same building actually) a video rental store that does two older dvd rentals for one dollar, fifty cents if you have pay a ten dollar monthly fee to have everything half off. The only thing they need right next door to make it perfect is a liquor store to pick up some beer.

One crazy story about pizza, when I was a kid I tried marshmallows on a pizza once because I was really into the Ninja Turtles and Michelangelo mentioned it in either one of the movies or in the cartoon. I don't remember how turned out or tasted, but I do remember I only done it that once so it may not have been that good.

Movie and a Pizza sounds good right now. If only I had the money to spare

Lol that actually sounds really good, though I tend to be a pizza purist

What? Me worry?
Pizza from a pizza place is always best, but if you're looking for a decent "store bought" pizza DiGiornos is almost as good as the real thing.

Thin crisp crust.
Anchovies.
Tomatoes.
Feta cheese. (Mozzarella just doesn't cut it.)
Anchovies.

Did I mention anchovies?

Chicago style crust, with sundried tomatoes, grilled aubergine, fresh basil and coriander, diced jalapenos or chipotles, grilled mushrooms, pesto mixed into the tomato sauce base, scoops of ricotta on top, maybe some pine nuts, and brushed with olive oil. Smoked scarmoza and mozzarellla for cheese, optionally feta (sheep feta is best). Light use of romano/parmesan is cool too.

Oh, and artichoke hearts.

When I get my tax return, I have decided I am going to treat myself to a homemade pizza. It will probably be a little on the expensive side, because I need fresh spices anyways, but it's going to be an orgasm for my mouth. I'll make the dough and the sauce, make them awesome, have a deep dish Sicilian style pizza that is an explosion of flavor and spice.

Oh that sounds so tasty! I'm not sure I can handle the jalapenos, I don't do well with spicy food and aubergine is hit and miss to my tastebuds, needs to be marinated but really, everything else sounds SO delicious.

Most of the time I have plain cheese and tomato sauce, preferably not too thick of a base, otherwise I find it tastes too much like bread and cannot enjoy the toppings. If not that, then something loaded with veg, loads of olives and different kinds of cheeses.

thin crust, deep dish toppings, etc. What are your pizza preferences?
I like both thin and thick. You can never go wrong with pepperoni, that my favorite topping, however I also like sausage, Canadian bacon, mushrooms and meatballs. Onions are a deal breaker for me, for some reason I just don't like them at all on my pizza.

Most of the chain pizza is edible, but being from an Italian heritage and being raised by Italians, I have stricter pizza preferences than most. To me, the best pizza is the little hole in the wall places that are individually owned and there are a couple from where I'm from that are outstanding. Although, oddly enough, I get a hankering for frozen pizzas every once in a while....I don't know why but I just do. Maybe I'm pregnant.

I am exposing some culinary secrets in this post...

(My father was a chef)

1. Brush the crust with olive oil; but don't stop there.
2. The use of fresh herbs. Yes, you're goign. Garlic scapes, actually, I give the highest recommendation to, in combination with very finely chopped red onion. <arinate them both in either a vinegar (such as madeira) first, or lemon juice & salt, along with chopped basil and any other herbs. Rosemary's good, but use it sparingly), and then, after straining off the juice (can put it in the sauce so it dilutes if you wish, or use it for something else - such as a bruschetta dip or salad/antipasto dressing.)
a. sprinkle on the pizza (not necessarily before you bake, could be during, after, or all 3 in stages if you have too much free time.)
b. mix with the olive oil, let sit a little longer, and then brush the crust.
3. Since you made it this far, why not get into the use of essential oils rather than merely infused ones? Honestly, essential oils are the one thing that can most improve a dish, and in a way impossible to replicate without. They're the steroids. Use them ;)

Basil essential oil, for instance. Mix it with the olive oil and brush it in the crust. And/or in the ricotta scoops, with a hint of sage oil there too.

Oil is flavor.

And yes, it's possible to have a gustatory orgasm.
