Here is mine, could someone please explain it to me???

Your Political Compass
Economic Left/Right: -3.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.67

chart

Is it telling me I'm a "left libertarian"? How far in is it saying I am in both?

Also, how come everyone on here seems to be in the left libertarian quadrant to a lesser or greater degree?

Ahem.....there are a small minority of us in the lower right quadrant....where the real libertarians are.
You're in the "liberal" quadrant, ie, big on social liberty, low on economic liberty.
Most are here because such is the orientation of RF.

Well, at least there aren't a lot of authoritarians here. That's a good thing, IMHO.

Or at least, of those who are here on RF, have taken one or another of the political quizzes, and then shared the results...but I've found that most of my students who have participated usually score within +/-4 of the center, with a majority in the lower-left quadrant.

I like diversity, so I think we need an affirmative action plan for authoritarians.
Besides your quadrant is economically authoritarian.
Don't move up on that graph, or you'll become a full blown Soviet!

LOL I have hard time picturing myself with a Che Guevara T-Shirt and a Red Commie flag, to be honest ;)

The first one strikes me as the more accurate. I am passionately in favour of free trade (anti-protectionism) and individual property rights, so I am hardly anti-business. I don't agree with planned economics.

But I am equally strongly in favour of environmentalism, universal public health care and wary of corporate monopolies.

I won't be converting to Stalinism any time soon, I should think!

I too favor them all, although free public health care is out of political expediency than empathy for unproductive citizens.

If one isn't hated by some group, then one isn't trying.
If one isn't hated by every group at one time or another, then one is a milquetoast.

Hey everyone. :)

Whilst the Political Compass Test is far from perfect, it is probably the most "accurate" way to measure where people are politically that we have. I took the test recently, and got these results and am shamefully moderate. :(

Economic Left/Right: -6.0
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.33

I'm stickying this thread so it doesn't get lost, and rather than have several threads, new members can simply keep adding their results to this one. Here's the Crowd Chart (as of 17/03/2016)

crowdchart5.png

Link (so I can update it with new results as they come in): http://www.politicalcompass.org/crowdchart?Baladas=-7.75,-7.69&Thirza+Fallen=-7.0,-4.41&Rowan=-6.38,-4.21&Scott+C=3.0,-1.0&Aquitaine=-4.88,-4.31&StarryNightshade=-4.0,-2.21&Midnight+Rain=-6.5,-8.5&esmith=4.0,1.0&illykitty=-7.88,-6.87&Revoltingest=8.75,-6.1&Sees=0.63,0.31&Crossfire=-2.13,-5.9&Tumah=-2.13,1.08&Agonstic+Religiophille=-6.63,-3.08&Tarheeler=-8.13,-6.77&bobhikes=-3.0,-4.26&allfoak=-2.88,-1.74&Shadow+Wolf=-8.88,-8.0&Buttercup=-5.0,-5.0&Laika=-6.0,-5.33&name=icehorse&ec=-6.88&soc=-5.23

If you've taken the test before and post the results on RF, you're results may be in one of the threads below (This may save you taking the test over if you prefer):

Don't worry, your quadrant isn't "authoritarian". Rev is just a biased right-wing American libertarian.
