Forget what statistics tell you! It won't be any of the Abrahamic faiths that take over in world numbers, it will be a new cult, a new religion!

The religion of Sleep!

We will all worship Hypnos, and do it comfortably from the warmth of our own beds...

Hmm... feeling a little drowsy...

So instead of atheists you would have insomniacs.

No way can sleepism be identified as a religion.
  • It works.
  • It can be shown to work.
  • When you wake up, you know that your dreams weren't real.
  • Sleepists don't wear funny hats. (Except in Germany.)
  • No matter how radical a sleepist is, they are not violent.
  • Sleepists don't proselytise or even debate sleep on RF.

Put this hat on and come join me in bed brother Heyo while we partake in the holy snorefest.

I sometimes sleep in a hoodie with the hood pulled over my head, but I'm not sure that qualifies as a funny hat...

I burst out laughing when I read the poll options. Thanks for this, George. :D A career as a comedy script writer beckons.

I don't know, but I only got like 5 or 6 hours a day this week of sleep.. I figure it might have something to do with how the day length is shifting or something. Just gotta deal with it

Sleep has all y'all deceived and deluded. You know it steals about 1/3 of your life? 1/3! Doing nothing! That's a lot of books I could read, pictures drawn, thoughts thought, more time I could be swooning over the 10th Doctor but no, this evil sleep thing demands we give in to it!

And the Anti-Sleepist sleeps naked.
I had to make sure to establish that early, especially with sleepists mentioning sleep clothes. That comfort is for me and those who hate sleep!

Okay, but let's all be sure to be wary of any self-proclaimed gurus who are only in it for the profit:

I'm composing our Gospel even as we speak. Here's what I've got so far:

"And afterwards, he went into the desert for 40 winks"

"Many are called but few are dozing".

"Wake not lest yee be woken".

"And he went and dwelt in the land of Nod, which was a really laid-back place with plenty of comfortable benches and strictly enforced noise ordinances".
