Given that we tend to be motivated by different things depending upon the circumstances, but what motivations are likely the major ones in your life? And perhaps place them in some order, since it is likely that many might tick all of these.

These following videos are a bit relevant, but posting them because they are just interesting too - didn't know that Nancy Etcoff was married to Steven Pinker for 12 years (from her Wiki). :D

4th option gave me a slight problem, i would gave preferred
Love/Relationships/Popularity
love and stable relationships with those i love is important to me but i dont care if im popular, thats other peoples opinion.

Also Doubt/Seeking/Curiosity/Knowledge
I enjoy seeking knowledge, i guess that means i am curious but the only doubt i have is whether i filled in my tax form correctly.

I feel conflicted because I feel they all are along the same thread, for me.

My first instinct is to say "power" but it has nothing to do with fame, and so much to do with wealth/security, as a means to persue self-actualization and creativity of which that self-actualization and creativity is part of my spirituality and fulfillment of my religious doctrine.

In one word, I would still say "power", but that sense of power is through art, and artists gotta eat. I feel closer to Satan when I am expressing myself. I get that sense from others' art but I am always left unfulfilled. I've performed live a few times, and nothing beats expressing yourself before a crowd, with all the attention on you, and those little rushes at certain moments. Sadly being able to do this **** takes money, and it's terrifying how quickly you can loose it all.

If I could somehow remove the need for wealth and security from this equation I would, but with a hierarchy of needs and a capitalistic society this is inevitable.

I thought I had doubt, but on second thought I was unsure.

For me it is Recognition, Creativity, Security and Curiosity. I am relatively content.

These have shifted for me over the years. Had you asked me early in life, I would have ticked 1, 2, 3, and 5, as I was raised to believe that these, above all else, were the goals in life.

Now, I'm not really comfortable ticking any of these, as there are terms thrown into a few selections that I might have picked that are not motivators or drivers for me.

At this point, I would say learning, sharing, experience, whimsy, and bliss.

Yes, I had my doubts about those two, since although popularity is roughly in the same area (how we relate to others), it is hardly the same as either of the others in the minds and behaviour of many. Didn't know where to put popularity - as it seems to motivate many - in the list of categories. Likewise doubt, and perhaps this could be replaced by scepticism?

Whimsy?

I like it. Never been my strong suit, but I can see the benefits.

It seems one can't change the descriptors of the categories - which is quite sensible no doubt - so perhaps apply them loosely. :D

I tend towards - being curious (and sceptical), having a degree of autonomy, value friends, and like to have some degree of security - the latter no doubt stemming from early shyness and introversion.

I would have gone further and separated love from relationships because love can be divine. And one can love trees and so forth.

Lets see here. Look through voting results I see we have 4 Oprah Winfreys. How did that happen?

I voted other. To stay alive. I'm struggling with my alcohol addiction and am getting ****ing tired. Very tired.

Which, by the way, I apologize to those I've offended over the last six years.
