Poor Sarah Sanders, victim of persecution

Unless someone has done something, they should be served. Sarah Sanders lies for and defends Trump. I don't think it should have happened to her, and it was tacky to have done so, and it defeated her "honor and compassion," and it's ammo for Conservatives in general to use, but there is a world's difference between "no gays" and refusing service to someone who's job is being the president's sycophant.

You ignored my point about political affiliations.

Angry people so seldom ever think about consequences of actions.
Of course, reciprocation would be wrong when done to their side.
Reciprocation against Sarah Huckabee Sanders would have involved imprisoning her without trial, kicking her out of the country, or taking her children away, not discreetly pulling her aside and telling her that she'll need to find a different place to have dinner.

That is where I disagree. It does seem that Huckasanders was kicked out because of things she personally had done.

If this restaurant starts kicking out all Republicans or everyone who voted for Trump that would be different.
What did she do which was bootworthy?

That calls for an opinion. I am going to assume that in your opinion she has done nothing “bootworthy”. In the opinion of the restaurant owner and her staff she has done “bootworthy” things.

This will be an other instance where I decline to opine. As I really don’t care.

Actually...no. Mrs Sanders tweeted clearly that her presence was not appreciated because of who she works for.
This was confirmed by the restaurant owner.

Gosh...even liberal wop Joy Behar, told it was a very unprofessional behavior.

Oh, if Sarah said it then it must be true.

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

Who she works for IS "something she personally has done". Or are you claiming Sanders works for Trump against her will?

Also, "wop"? Is that not a racial slur whereever you are? It is here.

Are we really at a stage where restaurants have to include a red plate/blue plate designation? Seriously?

I'm surprised how many people approve of refusing
to serve people from the other side of the aisle.
It's always justified by....
"But those people are evil! They're not good, like us."
Such is the excuse for incivility & intolerance.

Americastan is becoming....

Again: there's a distinction between merely being conservative or Republican and actually being part of an administration that is committing human rights abuses. It's perfectly reasonable for a business owner to refuse to cooperate with that to the extent that they're able.

And given that Trump supports are reported well armed, this approach might not go over well with some.

I see it more as an error of judgment, but that is just me. If the horrid Nancy Pelosi came into Chez Ymir for some taste treat I would treat her with respect and dignity, leaving my personal feelings about the woman and her party outside of my effort to attend to her needs. I see this whole trend as a major mistake done by the "FU Trump" brigade.
