Poor Sarah Sanders, victim of persecution

So if I politely discriminate it’s ok? Got it.
I never said that. The action against Sanders was legal, it may or may not help the business that kicked her out, it will probably help it. The yelling in the Mexican restaurant crossed the line, but it is understandable. When an administration is involved in rather obviously immoral action there are going to be repercussions.

Kangaroo Feathers

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
Typical liberal divisiveness. Like the DHS secretary. I'd hate to live in a world of screaming idiots following me everywhere.

Maybe public places of business will have signs soon saying "liberals only" or "conservatives only".
Irony abounds.

This absolutely delighted me. There are so few people who stand by their beliefs. I'd fequent that lady's restaurant if it was in the hoods.

No screaming, no yelling, only a polite requests to leave. And no "liberals only" signs either. They only objected to a rather heartless president and his workers.

You may be conflating Sanders with the idiot that went to a Mexican Restaurant and was surprised when they objected to her presence there.
For a restaurant owner to divide his patrons into political customers to serve or not to serve is clear divisiveness.

As I said "Like the DHS secretary", the chatting and screaming at her shows a world where peace is subjective.

My post was correctly objective to the idiots on both accounts.

Serving her would have also been divisive.

BTW: the owner of the Red Hen is a she.

So they should have been silenced?

Since the more right-wing members in this thread seem to have forgotten the First Amendment, I’ll quote it here for reference:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Pay special attention to the last clause.

The two incidents we’re talking about don’t involve just average conservative voters; they involve government officials that are part of the current administration.

Speech protesting them is doubly protected... and there’s nothing in the First Amendment that says it doesn’t apply in restaurants.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
The woman isn't too bright. Bad for business and like a press secretary has actually anything to do with how government approaches issues aside from being a spokesperson.

Another article quotes the owner on why she asked Sanders to leave:

The owner of the Red Hen explains why she asked Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave

According to the article, Sanders was asked to leave based on the owner’s objection to inhumanity, unethical behaviour, and cruelty. Do you think that these traits are intrinsic to conservatism?

If they aren’t intrinsic to conservatism, then it wasn’t Sanders’s conservatism that was at issue.
I have never witnessed Sarah Sanders being unethical or cruel. Maybe you can show me where she was.

Are we to assume that Sarah Sanders went to the border and "ripped" suckling babies from their mothers teats?

This whole idea from the Democrats is nothing but an "image" to help them run in 2018. They can't run on anything else but to "hate Trump". So the hatred is in play. Not good for the country, but something to run on none the less.

Trump put the whole immigation thing on hold to let the voters decide in '18. If they want an open border with "catch and release", the wave will be blue. If people want a secured border, the wave will be red. Right now the Dems are 2% points up. We'll see in 5 months. I'll accept either.

One thing seems apparent. If Mueller finds no proof of Russian collusion against Trump, I expect many riots in the big cities. The seeds of anarchy have been set, the fuse short.

It's about teams, man.
Gotta punish the other side.

But getting kicked out meant dodging a bullet.
Could'a had the cook spit in her food.
I recommend she wear a disguise when eating out.
(It works for me.)

I doubt you would accept any examples I gave, but the relevant issue is what the restaurant owner believed.

No; her support was indirect, but she still gave material support for the child concentration camps (among other unethical and AFAICT illegal acts).

No; people actually are upset about real abuses by the Trump government.

Kicked out for "disturbing the peace". Would you like people who disagree with you following you around screaming everywhere you went? Maybe you would. I wouldn't.

It's not the America I grew up in. I hate to see it coming to this. If a Dem becomes President, will you concede to people following them and screaming? Kind of doubt it.

When Obama was eating at restaurants, did people sit outside calling him the N word? Would that have been OK for you if they did?

That's up to the restaurant owner to decide, not you.

Probably not... so I haven't run for public office in the US.

It's not the America I grew up in.
Indeed. Even in the last few decades, it's become a better, less discriminatory society in general (Trump & friends notwithstanding).

I find it telling that you think the president being black is a grievance people would need redress from.

I see no abuses that any government before Trump hasn't done.

ROTFL........child concentration camps? Those kids were eating and sleeping in condition better than they ever had, and better than most of the child poverty of American children. We are spending much more on these children than we do to help the legal children of this country. The MSM has you buffaloed. They hate Trump and feed your hatred as well.

Illegal immigration is a problem. It is illegal. Illegal acts have consequences.

I see no kids being "abused". You are being led like a lapdog. Seeing Nazi's now, I bet.

So the point went right over your head. That post had nothing to do with the patrons of that restaurant.

Yep. Just like old Rome that fell. Killing the messengers was the first sign. (Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire)

Men never learn.
You're right. Old adages never die. They just repeat themselves throughout history.

People, meaning it's Liberals who are the ones upset over their version of what they call "abuse".

You talk out of both sides of your mouth. I never had to worry about some kid bring a gun to school and shooting teachers and students. Yeah, it's better. I don't remember hippies damaging stores, burning cars, killing cops. Yeah, it's better now. I remember when the opposing party put a President in office, the other side didn't immediately try to impeach him. Hey, better yet. I don't remember anyone wanting to "blow up the White House" or "ask for Presidential children to be placed in cages with child molesters". It's a great time, isn't it?
