Poor Sarah Sanders, victim of persecution

How did it go "over my head" when Sarah Sanders was a "patron"? What was she then? A bystander?

Get your thoughts together.
Wow! You are really confused this time. Sarah did not go to a Mexican restaurant. Go back and re-read the posts. You jumped the track of the conversation.

ROTFL........child concentration camps?
These are the times we live in.
Ever since the Reichskanzler....er, President, was elected....er, stole
the election from Hillary, he's been planning Konzentrationslager,
Blitzkriegen, Pogromen, Unterdrukung, und einer Staatssreich.
But have sympathy for Hillary's voters, who suffer from Krankensneurose.

What?
Too sarcastic?
Hey, the thread needed a little levity.

I see no abuses that any government before Trump hasn't done.
But you do agree abuses are happening under the Trump government.

Illegal immigration is a problem. It is illegal. Illegal acts have consequences.
Many of the parents in custody haven’t committed any crime at all. There’s nothing illegal about seeking asylum as a refugee.

I see no kids being "abused". You are being led like a lapdog. Seeing Nazi's now, I bet.
Out of curiosity: when people compare the Trump administration to Nazis, what similarities between the two do you think they’re seeing?

I just don't see any abuse. Maybe by the illegals, not by us. People are removed from their children all the time for breaking the law. What's the difference? The people coming here have to be "documented". No entry until be "know" who you are. You can't as much drive a car or even buy a beer in this country without showing that you are "documented". Is documenting people entering this country abuse? To who?

Have you not heard of smuggling? Is everyone going to claim "sanctuary"? Does every murderer get to claim "insanity" to get off? Documentation is important. We don't want smugglers, criminals, MS13, and others to ener just because they are holding a baby in their arms. Maybe you do. I don't.

If people can just walk in, I hope (and they probably will) just go to the big cities and add to their debt and homeless problems. I'm just a guy on the outside looking in. My area is just fine.

Why do they have to leave the violence in Central America to find asylum here? They speak Spanish, you'd think Mexico is closer and safer.

This all "holier than thou" spoken by the Democrats isn't about the border. It's about Trump. Some idiot the other day said that Trump isn't the Nazi, it's all the people that voted for him. We've gone from deplorables to Nazi's. The left has gone nuts. Imagine if someone had said that everyone who voted for Obama was a N****** lover. Same thing. Name calling is for children. And many pundits are showing just how childish they are.

This from an Independent. I'm watching a once good party destroy itself.

At least the new polls (before the border) show Trump gaining approval ratings (highest it's been since day one of his election) and the country moving in the right direction (first time since 2005).

I just watch and wait. I'm just peachy in my area.

LOL!! You made an error by yakking about Sarah being yelled at (she wasn't). I told you who was yelled at and was talking about that person. You continued to ignore your error and assumed that I made one.

You should have gone back and found where you goofed up.

I recently skimmed over an article in the Washington Post that younger Trump staffers have been complaining no one in Washington will date them.

Why would anyone want to date someone in Washington D.C.? That place has the highest crime rate in the nation. And that's even when congress is not in session.:D ( I must admit, I stole that joke from the X files)

I totally understand. I'm just saying it never ends well. Whenever a business makes a political statement, it's always met with a media circus and public backlash.

I think you are correct here. In my experience as a business owner I do my best to discourage political discussion between patrons. I actually once had to get between two elderly gentleman who were about to engage in fisticuffs over politics. Not a pretty sight. Also in the last presidential election the local newspaper publicly endorsed one candidate over the other. They lost over half their subscribers.

Indeed, The X-Files is one of the best comedies on TV.
I just watched "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose"....hilarious in a wry kind of way.

Reread it till you see it clearly and not through your liberal lens. But let me explain it to you.

"Typical liberal divisiveness. (the blue describes the comment on Sarah. There is a period at it's end) Like the DHS secretary. I'd hate to live in a world of screaming idiots following me everywhere. (The red is reference to the DHS secretary and the idiots crying at her.)

Maybe public places of business will have signs soon saying "liberals only" or "conservatives only".
(The green was a comment about both instances).

Does that help you to see better? I can't make it too much clearer.

Sanders is a morally bankrupt, complicit liar who fully deserves to be shunned.

Yup. I can see the owners right to shun her, and I believe, the owners reasons. But I see it as pathetic that this has become a media issue when so much else is going on of much greater importance.

Nah. Conservatives want to do it because of who people are born as. This case, it seems the restaurant owner did it over something someone did, not because she's lesbian, or trans, or black, or whatever group has been targeted for public discrimination.

What if someone was part of a religious organization with an agenda? Say a Christian is a known member of an organization trying to reverse same-sex marriage? A Muslim being part of the Muslim Brotherhood? A Hindu nationalist? etc, etc.

Okay, I will admit that I missed your original point. But are you ready to admit your own error? The DHS Secretary was not screamed at "everywhere". She made the rather moronic mistake of going to a Mexican restaurant. The majority of Latinos that she is trying to deport are from Mexico. Did you not see the irony of that action of hers? When involved in skulduggery it is best to avoid the public.

Lots of good posts on this thread. But unfortunately I see some who seem to think refusing business to someone is just fine so long as they're on the side they disagree with.

It does make one wonder if the owner would refuse service to a voter. I read there are people that want to patron the restaurant wearing MAGA hats to push the issue. I guess I will have to wait and see how far the owner's convictions go.

Wrong is wrong,/ Make America moral again.
I did not agree with the Supreme Court ruling on the wedding cake and I do not agree with the restaurant owner. But the SC ruled, Sanders supports that ruling and other draconian ideas of the Trump administration. If those beliefs come back to bit her I am not sorry for her. We reap what we sow.

Does it hurt the RW agenda by saying the majority of democrats aren't liberal? But the audience doesn't know that..the audience also doesn't live in a area where they could get first hand experience dealing with 'liberals.' RW media knows this, they exploit it.

Democrats are for open borders!! = Lie
Democrats support MS13!! = Lie

Everything RW performance artists say is horse*hit.

hmm. According to the news (all) the caravan and people at the Southern border were from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala seeking asylum from the violence in those countries. Now we REALLY need to find out who these strangers are.

What happens when migrants seeking asylum get to the border?
