Pope "ashamed, outraged" by Irish sexual abuse

Victor, what can the Pope do about this issue? Is there a solution to restore the Churches position?
I volunteer as a cathecist teacher and I can tell you that I'm already feeling the affects of it. For one, the diocese hired an outside company to do full background checks with fingerprints and all of anybody working or volunteering at the Church. Also, the priest met with us all to give us some ground rules of do's and dont's (like never being alone with a student). This is just a couple things I've seen down in the totem pole. I imagine the Pope will be that much stricter up in the ranks.

BTW, this has been taking place way before this article came out. But you won't hear that in the news.

Is this what you were looking for?
