Read your question again -- thoughtfully -- bearing in mind
  • I neither said nor suggested that desire would "necsesitate the creation of innane threads"(sic).
  • One should be able to think of any number of examples where one's desire is not matched by one's ability.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Post counts, medals, likes, and dislikes, it's all social credit score BS and I don't give a rat's *** about any of it, but I do utilize it for the fun of it but couldn't care less if it was there or not.

*quietly ponders the times folks may have literally given a rat's hindquarters, and how that may have been received*
The only difference from say China's credit score is there's no perks and benefits for having any kind of stuff like that , aside from bragging rights.

But when or why would someone gift a rat's butt?

The frubal system is of no real benefit. Its just for fun.
Oh the fun the forum had with those frubal orgies!

But that darn rats butt, is what gave those frubals a quick demise faster than Lemmings can jump off a cliff.

Does your post/message count matter to you? If so, why?

It only matters to me in the sense that I like having a low count. I'm a little envious of @Vinidra when it comes to post count in relation to span of years on RF.

Could God have four thumbs?

Looking at mūrtis or sacred statues of Viṣṇu, who is depicted with four arms, many Hindus would say, 'Yes, God has four thumbs.' Then, there are mūrtis of Sadāśiva, who is depicted with 10 arms. That's 10 thumbs; it might blow some non-Hindus' minds. Lol.

While I never post for frubals, my frubal count in ratio to my post count(especially before the software change) kinda thrilled me.

Unlike you, I post exclusively for frubals. :p

By the way, if the rest of you want to see more of my posts, I need 1,225 (because of Christmas Day) frubals for this particular post. If I don't get them by Boxing Day, I'll only post on the ULC message board. :p

Nice to be well received for a change.

Yes, even though you're 'as feminine as a Mack truck.' :p

You'll have to box me for them.

Seems no one likes Mack Trucks these days... :(

Great! No one will know I'm in here. Now I can get some rest.
You like Mack trucks, yeah?

I personally like Hyundai trucks.
I like them unless I'm at a 4 way stop with them. Then I'm jealous, because the Mack Truck always has the right of way.

I don't know if I've ever seen a Hyundai truck. I'm not sure I'd notice it was Hyundai even if I did, but the kids would.

Does your post/message count matter to you? If so, why?

I ask because I struggle to understand why someone might create a thread of the type ...
  • Could God have four thumbs?
or
  • Are whooping cranes birds?
In some cases such a thread might be created to not-so-subtly mock a previous effort, but I can't help but wonder if, in other instances, they result from a desire to boost one's message count.

Yes, my post count defines my success in life, so I print every post and stick it to my fridge for the memory and bragging rights.

Unfortunately, I ran out of room after the first 500 posts, so I've bought 10 more fridges since. Totally worth it.
