This is Biscuit, he's about 8. We got him from the wild. We suspect he is half tabby and half siamese.

Hi...... I would love to post a picture of Smew for you to see, but I have no idea how to upload such a pic from my netbook to this thread. No member has ever been able to give guidance about this which actually works. :)

Post your pet? .....oh, I see what you mean ...I was going to ask for the address!

We have "adopted" a stray cat who calls in for food (she is terribly nervous); we renamed her "barbarian" when we saw her catch and mutilate a pigeon.......

Hi...... I would love to post a picture of Smew for you to see, but I have no idea how to upload such a pic from my netbook to this thread. No member has ever been able to give guidance about this which actually works. :)

A couple methods for you:

You can go to a site such as imageshack, create an account, and upload pictures there so that you can directly link to them there. When you want to link to a picture you copy the direct link provided and simply click on the "insert image" button and paste the url into the box. *poof* Your pic in your post.

There is also the "manage attachments" option that is found lower under the "additional options" area where you are making your post. From there you can attach a picture directly from your computer files into your post. Some people seem to have issues with this or either don't know about it or it just doesn't work all the time. Certainly can't hurt to give it a try and if it doesn't seem to work you can always give the imageshack or photobucket route a try.

I never actually owned a pet, and i would most likely not want to do so for more than one reason. But there were two separate times when i was in a way responsible for an animal and really cared for it. In both cases they were stray cats.

The first time i was a kid. I fed a cat and she kept coming back. I quickly loved her and started to pet her, would play with her and feed her and such everyday, all outside our house. One time when i was left alone in the house i even let her in, but she got scared a bit so i let her out again. I got so familiar with her and she spent so much time around that she was really clean, unlike most stray cats, and i would not have to worry too much about petting her and letting her bite me and stuff. Two massive male cats would come around and follow her, fight for her, and she totally tortured them. I would watch with amazement. It was great, and she finally got pregnant (and i was dying to know which one did it). But just then, it all came to an end when my mother who has an irrational fear of cats (and gave me a hard time during my taking care of that cat) decided to scare her away by throwing boiling water near her infront of me. She never came back again. The cat looked a lot like this:

The other incident was essentially just for one day, where i had found a very young lost kitten without his family, and eventually after waiting for a while decided to take him home with me and find him a place to stay (which i did). He looked identical to this:

This is my beloved Ginger. This picture was taken almost exactly eleven months ago, on her 13th birthday. Ginger is a Collie would be the equivalent of a 103-year-old human on her birthday next month. Unfortunately, she isn't going to make it to her 14th birthday. We have decided that we are going to have to put her to sleep on Monday. When my nephew pet-sat with her three years ago when we were on vacation, he gave her a nickname that fit her perfectly: "Love walking." She is pure love, and I am going to miss her immensely. So, Ginger... until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, "I love you!"

What a handsome Shepherd!

I love animals. I have been volunteering at a cat shelter on and off for the past 16 years.

I am too much of a noob to be able to post a photo in a thread, have to reply to a few more posts before the powers that be allow me to use that feature

I have a cat, his name is Bacon I rescued him in 2007.
Bacon is an American short hair with grey and white fur and is polydactyl on all four paws (he has two extra toes on each paw)

I'm glad I'm not the only one here old enough to take that meaning, initially.
