Thanks for the pics. Bar your feet and your smile, the pipe makes an interesting, yet slightly unexpected addition to Master Vigil.
When you have time...tell me about the pipe...and the warden and the story behind them both.
Till later

Why thank you.
Well, when I moved down to Memphis I was shopping around in a local antique store, and I saw it. I knew it was Danish, but nothing more than that at the time. When I bought it, I didn't know that much about Danish Pipes, only that they were one of the first to carve Freestyle pipes.
I bought the pipe for fairly cheap considering it was a hand cut, one of a kind. I usually would smoke pretty cheap pipes, and was excited to have a nice one. When I got home, I did more research on Preben Holm and my pipe. Turns out, it's a pretty AWESOME pipe. Click
HERE for more info on Preben Holm.
Because I decided to start to grow my beard, I wanted to get a churchwarden stem cut for it. So I did, and voila!

I like that pipe, MV. What time of pipe tobacco is your favorite. I haven't ever gotten any of the good stuff. Only stuff I've ever bought was Captain Black because I loved the smell but it's much different once it's smoked. I also only had a cheap pipe which hurts the overall experience. I could never keep the tobacco burning so I had to keep relighting which is pretty annoying.
I'm quite addicted to Penzance. It's my favorite. And it is the only tobacco I smoke now. Once you start smoking one kind, you can't change because the flavors will mix in the bowl, which gets disgusting. Don't knock the cheap pipes, some smoke just as well as the expensive ones. And will allow you to try different flavors. I usually only light twice, and am good after that. I've heard it's somewhat of a learned skill to keep a good long burn.
And troublemane, I try not to smoke very often. I seriously will only smoke a few times a month. Which is good, I guess I have a lot of will power. Sometimes I'll just sit with it in my mouth, because I can taste the tobacco. And it seems to get me by.
