Power of God???????

Hello Everyone , I am very new to the forum and hope my question is not too simplistic but I would like to know others take on the following...
If God is so powerful...why does he need anyone to fight , propagate or kill on His or Her behalf to prove that He/She is powerful or the only God? After all if God being as powerful as He/She is then surely He/She has the power and ability to destroy everyone false by Himself/Herself without resorting to using mere humans to do it?

free will; love, peace, goodness, worship, is meaningless if mandated, if the opposite is not also a choice.

I do stuff
so we execute as a God?

Mankind has always done so. The status quo of a society usually has precedence over the rights of an individual. When a society determines that an individual or a small segment of that society poses a threat to its integrity, society is obligated to extinguish that threat. The problem has always been to differentiate between a real and imagined threat.

But if we act as God is that not an act of blasphemy of some sort?

If you think God goes around ordering people to be killed, then yes definitely don't try to be like "God". If you think God is pure love, compassion, wisdom and peace, the yes by all means try to act like God, it would do you well!!

According to the Bible man is to reflect the glory of God. This light not only guides us closer to God but also serves as a beacon for our fellow man. To act “as” God requires “to do” the will “of” God.

Got to let your kids fight their own battles. It's the only way they are going to learn something. They'd wouldn't learn anything good if daddy(or mommy) takes care of all of their problems.

And they always lie and blame God for giving them the idea to do all that terrible stuff, when in fact its all their own idea.

Exactly! Living beings have free will and God has nothing to do with our actions. He does not control us. We control ourselves and must own up to our responsibilities.
